¡El hype no cabe en mi cuerpo en este momento porque por fin se ha llevado a cabo un evento que tenía tiempo deseando que sucediera! ¡Hemos logrado la unión de tres proyectos épicos de la plataforma de #hive! Esto ha traído como resultado el #GeekMeet, un evento para dejar salir tu lado más #geek en diferentes ámbitos, si quieres conocer los detalles, solo haz click en este enlace.
Ahora, como parte del equipo de organización, dije que no podía quedarme por fuera en este gran evento, así que decidí montar dos participaciones, esta primera en la comunidad de Hive-Con y la segunda en mi comunidad de Hivesicians, entonces, para unirme a las personas que formarán parte de este evento, traje una reseña de una serie animada que toda la vida ha causado controversia pero que cambió de significado para mí y quiero relatar el porqué.
Así que, comencemos:
The hype doesn't fit in my body right now because an event has finally taken place that I've been looking forward to for a long time! We have achieved the union of three epic projects of the #hive platform! Now, as part of the organizing team, I said that I could not stay out of this great event, so I decided to mount two participations, this first one in the community of Hive-Con and the second one in my community of Hivesicians, then, to join the people who will be part of this event, I brought a review of an animated series that all life has caused controversy but that changed its meaning for me and I want to relate why.
So, let's get started:
South Park, su controversia y su genio | South Park, its controversy and genius
Cuando vi por primera vez esta serie, fue en televisión en un canal llamado Locomotion, el cual estuvo al aire desde el año 1996 hasta el 2005, recuerdo que me lo mostró un primo mío que tenía como 20 años en ese momento, yo tenía apenas 12 años y lo primero que escucho cuando ponen el canal fue la famosa frase que decía Kyle: «¡Oh dios mío, mataron a Kenny! ¡Hijos de puta!» y yo me reí.
Acto seguido, mi madre abrió los ojos y volteó a decirme que no viera esa «comiquita tan grosera» y que cambiara el canal, por supuesto para evitar problemas con mi madre yo lo hacía pero me causaba demasiada gracia el hecho de que dijeran tantas groserías (como a cualquier niño de mi edad le daría gracia por el hecho de no poder decirlas en aquél entonces).
When I saw this series for the first time, it was on television in a channel called Locomotion, which was on the air from 1996 to 2005, I remember that it was shown to me by a cousin of mine who was about 20 years old at that time, I was only 12 years old and the first thing I heard when they put the channel on was the famous phrase that Kyle said: "Oh my God, they killed Kenny! Sons of bitches!" and I laughed.
Then my mother opened her eyes and turned to tell me not to watch that "rude little comic" and to change the channel. Of course, to avoid problems with my mother, I did that, but I was too amused by the fact that they said so many rude things (like any kid my age would be amused by the fact that they couldn't say them back then).
Cuando intenté verla para entender de qué iba la serie, al principio no entendía nada, solo sabía que eran increíblemente groseros y que no tenían ningún tipo de censura al respecto, eso me daba bastante gracia pero hubo un momento en que empezó a aburrirme porque las groserías que decían eran las mismas de siempre y ya le había perdido el sentido.
Luego, unos años más tarde, cuando cumplí los 18, comencé a ver los capítulos nuevos de la serie y me di cuenta de que a pesar de que seguían siendo igual de groseros, habían temáticas que podía reconocer fácilmente, este hecho me enganchó y comencé a entender que la serie tenía como objetivo burlarse a nivel de una sátira muy oscura de los sucesos mundiales y de las cosas que estuvieran en el «mainstream», es decir, de moda para la época.
En ese momento, recuerdo que estaba en voga jugar un videojuego llamado World Of Warcraft, entonces salió este capítulo:
When I tried to watch it to understand what the series was about, at first I didn't understand anything, I only knew that they were incredibly rude and that they didn't have any kind of censorship about it, that was quite funny but there was a moment when it started to bore me because the rudeness they said was the same as always and I had already lost my senses.
Then, a few years later, when I turned 18, I started watching the new chapters of the series and I realized that even though they were still just as rude, there were themes that I could easily recognize, this fact hooked me and I started to understand that the series was meant to make fun of a very dark satire of world events and things that were in the "mainstream", that is, fashionable for the time.
At that time, I remember that it was in vogue to play a video game called World Of Warcraft, so this chapter came out:
South Park - Por amor al Warcraft
Este capítulo me hizo morir de risa a niveles inexplicables, esto motivado a que yo sabía lo que era Warcraft, yo en ese momento estaba jugando con mis mejores amigos en un servidor del juego, entonces todas las referencias que estaban dentro del capítulo eran demasiado familiares para mí y el hecho de que lo ridiculizaran tanto me dio demasiada risa.
Ahí entendí que realmente lo que pensé que era una serie aleatoria y grosera, era una genialidad total, si se preguntan el porqué, es simple, la única manera de poder hacer este tipo de sátiras y críticas con humor negro a los sucesos mundiales y las cosas de moda, es teniendo una capacidad de abstracción increíblemente alta sobre los tópicos, tienes que tener un dominio increíblemente alto de los mismos para poder saber de qué forma mostrarlo al público haciendo las referencias certeras y aplicando un humor negro que aunque pueda caer mal, sea capaz de hacer reír a las personas y hacerles decir: «ok, me iré al infierno por reírme de esto, pero es demasiado gracioso».
This chapter made me die laughing at unexplainable levels, this motivated by the fact that I knew what Warcraft was, I was playing with my best friends in a game server at that time, so all the references that were inside the chapter were too familiar to me and the fact that they ridiculed it so much made me laugh too much.
There I understood that really what I thought was a random and rude series, was a total genius, if you ask yourself why, it's simple, the only way to be able to do this kind of satire and criticism with black humor to world events and fashionable things, is having an incredibly high capacity of abstraction about the topics, you have to have an incredibly high domain of them to be able to know how to show it to the public making the accurate references and applying a black humor that even though it can be bad, it is capable of making people laugh and make them say: "Okay, I'll go to hell for laughing at this, but it's too funny.
Entender el concepto detrás | Understand the concept behind
Toda la vida he amado con locura el trabajo conceptual, por ende, me encanta investigar para entender todo lo que está detrás de lo que se ve a simple vista, siempre he pensado que nada es casual y que lo que se nos presenta en cada frame de una serie, por muy idiota o simple que parezca, puede tener un trasfondo que no vemos hasta discernir al respecto.
Entonces, he aprendido muchas cosas y —bajo mi perspectiva— siento que los personajes de la serie, más allá de ser protagonistas de los episodios, tienen una misión un poco más profunda, entonces, para no extenderme mucho, hablaré de los personajes principales de la serie y lo que representan para mí a nivel conceptual:
All my life I've loved conceptual work madly, therefore, I love to investigate to understand everything that is behind what is seen at first sight, I have always thought that nothing is casual and that what is presented to us in each frame of a series, no matter how idiotic or simple it may seem, may have a background that we do not see until we discern about it.
So, I've learned many things and -under my perspective- I feel that the characters in the series, beyond being the protagonists of the episodes, have a slightly deeper mission, so, in order not to extend myself too much, I will talk about the main characters in the series and what they represent for me on a conceptual level:
1.- Randy Marsh
Este es uno de los personajes más graciosos de la serie, es una persona que representa el lado más banal de la sociedad adulta, en todo sentido, es utilizado para hacer los chistes más rancios sobre el cómo los adultos son estúpidos en muchos sentidos, inclusive al momento de ser padres, de ser neófitos con la tecnología, de ser crédulo de información falsa en línea, etc.
Es un personaje que satiriza la humanidad adulta haciendo ver que los adultos son así, grotescos, fétidos, entrometidos, espontáneos pero sin poder adaptarse bien a los estereotipos o paradigmas donde la juventud está en otra onda, es simplemente brillante el papel de este personaje.
This is one of the funniest characters in the series, he is a person who represents the most banal side of adult society, in every sense, he is used to make the most stale jokes about how adults are stupid in many ways, even when it comes to being parents, being a neophyte with technology, being gullible of false information online, etc.
It is a character that satirizes adult humanity by making adults look like that, grotesque, stinking, meddlesome, spontaneous but unable to adapt well to the stereotypes or paradigms where youth is on a different wavelength, it is simply brilliant the role of this character.
2.- Erick Cartman
Todo el que ha visto la serie conoce este personaje, es uno de los referentes más directos de la misma y es por el hecho de que es uno de los personajes que le da el toque satírico de la más terrible calaña posible, porque, de hecho, este personaje ejemplifica el lado más oscuro de la sociedad en general.
Es un niño racista, sociópata, altanero, prepotente, ensimismado, vanidoso y podría continuar diciendo más características de su personalidad que son increíblemente desagradables; literalmente es un personaje hecho para caerte mal, pero lo irónico de todo es que es uno de los personajes que más disfrutas ver en la serie ya que, como mencioné en el primer texto, le da el toque oscuro y gracioso a la serie.
Generalmente la trama del capítulo se basa en algo que haga o deje de hacer él, es el que mete en problemas a sus amigos, daña las cosas, incomoda a las personas, en fin, es una máquina de odio y está en la serie para demostrar cómo el peor lado de la humanidad puede salir a relucir con una familia estúpidamente despreocupada (su madre) que no vele por enseñarle algún tipo de derecho, valor y/o aspecto moral a sus hijos.
Everyone who has seen the series knows this character, he is one of the most direct references of the series and it is because he is one of the characters that gives it the satirical touch of the most terrible kind possible, because, in fact, this character exemplifies the darkest side of society in general.
He is a racist, sociopathic, haughty, arrogant, self-absorbed, vain child and could go on to say more characteristics of his personality that are incredibly unpleasant; he is literally a character made to be disliked, but the irony of it all is that he is one of the characters that you most enjoy seeing in the series since, as I mentioned in the first text, he gives the dark and funny touch to the series.
Usually the plot of the chapter is based on something he does or doesn't do, he's the one who gets his friends in trouble, hurts things, makes people uncomfortable, in short, he's a hate machine and he's in the series to show how the worst side of humanity can come out with a stupidly carefree family (his mother) that doesn't care about teaching him some kind of right, value and/or moral aspect their kids.
3.- Kyle Broflovski
Kyle es un personaje muy volátil y muy contrastado, ya que es capaz de mostrar un lado bueno y un lado terrible al momento de mostrar su personalidad de resentimiento hacia Cartman por el hecho de recibir bullying por ser judío, a mi parecer él representa ese lado de la humanidad que solo aprende a ensayo y error, generalmente al finalizar cada capítulo él nos cuenta una anécdota y cierra con una reflexión sobre lo vivido en el capítulo, por muy terrible que fuera el suceso, siempre le ve la enseñanza a todo.
Es bastante reflexivo e intenta hacer las cosas bien, pero es bastante explosivo e impulsivo, por ende, sus planes no resultan del todo bien todo el tiempo.
Kyle is a very volatile and contrasting character, since he's capable of showing a good side and a terrible side when it comes to showing his personality of resentment towards Cartman for the fact of being bullied for being Jewish. In my opinion, he represents that side of humanity that only learns by trial and error, generally at the end of each chapter he tells us an anecdote and closes with a reflection on what he experienced in the chapter, no matter how terrible the event, he always sees the teaching in everything.
He is quite reflective and tries to do things right, but is quite explosive and impulsive, so his plans do not turn out quite well all the time.
4.- Stan Marsh
Este es el hijo de Randy Marsh y lo irónico de todo es que a pesar de ese hecho, este es el personaje más correcto de toda la serie, él muestra el lado más racional, lógico y serio de la humanidad, siempre busca de ser el balance de raciocinio en su grupo de amigos, es el que busca que todos piensen antes de actuar, el que advierte de malas ideas y planes, el que regaña a las personas que hacen mal las cosas (incluyendo su padre) e intenta corregir según su perspectiva los hechos que están mal.
Por supuesto, han habido momentos donde ha mostrado su carácter, por lo que más allá de ser el referente al lado más serio de cualquier persona, demuestra que al final todos somos humanos y tenemos un límite de paciencia el cual de ser roto, saca nuestro lado más salvaje.
This is Randy Marsh's son and the irony of it all is that in spite of that fact, this is the most correct character in the whole series, he shows the most rational, logical and serious side of humanity, he always tries to be the balance of reasoning in his group of friends, he is the one who tries to make everyone think before acting, the one who warns about bad ideas and plans, the one who scolds people who do things wrong (including his father) and tries to correct according to his perspective the facts that are wrong.
Of course, there have been times when he has shown his character, so beyond being the reference to the most serious side of any person, he shows that in the end we are all human and have a limit of patience which if broken, brings out our wildest side.
Kenny McCormick
Kenny es un personaje que ha cambiado demasiado a medida que la serie comenzó a crecer y perdurar en el tiempo; al principio era un personaje que moría en cada episodio posible, sin tener muchas interacciones ni diálogos porque como ven en su estructura de personaje, tiene una chaqueta la cual tiene una capucha que rodea su cara, tapándole su boca, esto hacía que solo se escucharan murmullos sin sentido cuando hablaba.
Luego, comenzaron a mostrar un lado diferente de él, mostraron que es un niño que vive en una extrema pobreza, con padres drogadictos, pero muestra que la vida no necesariamente tiene un destino si naces en una situación complicada, ya que él no es una mala persona, ni sigue los malos pasos de sus padres, de hecho tiene una hermana por la cual él sale y busca maneras de hacerla feliz en cada momento que puede y además, hay un capítulo donde se descubre que él es uno de los mejores súper héroes de la ciudad.
Para mí, él es el ejemplo de que la vida puede ser corta o larga pero uno debe luchar por hacer feliz a las personas que uno ama, sin importar las circunstancias y así sea con detalles muy pequeños, todo cuenta, todo tiene valor.
Kenny is a character that has changed too much as the series began to grow and endure over time; at first he was a character that died in every possible episode, without having many interactions or dialogues because as you can see in his character structure, he has a jacket which has a hood that surrounds his face, covering his mouth, this made only meaningless murmurs when he spoke.
Then, they began to show a different side of him, they showed that he is a child who lives in extreme poverty, with drug addict parents, but it shows that life does not necessarily have a destiny if you are born in a complicated situation, since he is not a bad person, nor does he follow in the bad footsteps of his parents, in fact he has a sister for whom he goes out and looks for ways to make her happy in every moment he can and in addition, there is a chapter where it is discovered that he is one of the best super heroes in the city.
For me, he's the example that life can be short or long but you must fight to make the people that you loves really happy, no matter the circumstances and even with very small details, everything counts, everything has value.
Butters Stotch
Butters es uno de mis personajes favoritos de toda la serie, porque muero de risa cada vez que lo veo, esto por el simple hecho de que él es la representación del lado más puro, inocente y frágil de la humanidad en la serie.
Todas las apariciones de Butters hacen alusión a las acciones de una persona sumamente leal y pura de corazón, inclusive en capítulos donde él es un «súper villano», su ternura sobrepasa todo tipo de malicia que pueda parecer que tiene, es de esos personajes que intentan hacerlos ver crueles o malignos pero que contrastan demasiado por su pureza.
Butters is one of my favorite characters of the whole series, because I die of laughter every time I see him, this for the simple fact that he is the representation of the purest, innocent and fragile side of humanity in the series.
All of Butters' appearances allude to the actions of a person who is extremely loyal and pure of heart, even in episodes where he is a "super villain", his tenderness surpasses any kind of malice he might seem to have, he is one of those characters who tries to make them look cruel or evil but who contrasts too much with their purity.
Conclusiones | Conclusion
Esta serie es una genialidad en todo sentido, fue envolvente para mí en mi infancia porque me resultaba graciosa por sus groserías y luego me atrapó totalmente cuando crecí porque aprendí que su humor va más allá de lo grosero, es un humor negro que necesita un raciocinio, una lógica y un nivel de cultura general bastante amplio para disfrutar a plenitud cada capítulo, es simplemente increíble.
Les recomiendo que la vean, ya que esta no caduca ni pierde vigencia, ya que todos los capítulos están asociados a un hecho de la vida real y no todos son continuos o tienen que ver unos con otros, así que realmente puede verla en cualquier punto de la misma y disfrutarla de la misma forma.

This series is a genius in every sense, it was involving for me in my childhood because I found it funny for its rudeness and then it caught me totally when I grew up because I learned that its humor goes beyond the rudeness, it is a black humor that needs a reasoning, a logic and a general culture level wide enough to enjoy fully each chapter, it is simply incredible.
I recommend you to watch it, since it does not expire or lose its validity, since all the chapters are associated to a real life fact and not all of them are continuous or have to do with each other, so you can really watch it at any point and enjoy it in the same way.

Me sorprendió mucho lo que representa Kenny, no tenia idea, siempre pense que era un personaje nulo por no saber de la serie, pero ahora veo que es super deep. De por si quedé loca con el análisis de cada personaje, que buen contraste arman todos.

Al igual que tu comparto lo que dices esta serie es una genialidad y no como no las pintaban nuestros padres "esa serie grosera". Mano te la comiste como ejemplificaste a cada personaje con un sentido desde Cartman que es una basura pero te hace reir bastante hasta Butters que es todo lo bueno que existe en este mundo. JAJAJAJAJA ese capítulo de WOW lo ame y recuerdo que justamente salió cuando yo andaba dungeando porque lo solía ver mientras esperaba cola para calabozo.

Lo que nunca pude sacar de mi mente es si mostrarsela a los niños tiene que ver o no con su comportamiento a un futuro porque yo la ví y normal, no obstante, había compañeros míos que comenzaron a adoptar esos patrones jajaja un tema reflexivo con eso xD.
