Godzilla ha regresado, está de moda y junta al Gran Simio de la Isla Calavera amenaza con golpear duro las pantallas de Streaming e invadir las salas de cine (si es que abren). Mucho debate y espesativa ha generado este duelo de titanes (en el sentido más literal de la palabra). Las apuestas están abiertas y todos especulan y discuten sobre quien, como y porque ganará el duelo que se avecina inminente.
Algunos apoyan con fervor al gran lagarto, otros al súper gorila, personalmente yo me conformo con disfrutar del espectáculo que acontecerá dentro de poco. La gran mayoría de internet o al menos la gran mayoría que he tenido la oportunidad de leer y entrevistar afirmar que los atributos del lagarto gigante son demasiado difíciles de pasar por alto y que será él quien gane el duelo; cosas como su enorme tamaño, su aliento atómico, su “ultra instinto” y su piel impenetrable, súper velocidad, regeneración celular y un largo “etc” han sido los motivos por los cuales muchas personas pronostican la derrota de King Kong.
El Godzilla que participará en el encuentro es el que ya vimos en las películas de Godzilla 2014 dirigida por Gareth Edwards y la más reciente Godzilla King of the Monster cuyo director es Michael Dougherty. La verdad no recuerdo que en ninguna de estas películas Godzilla tuviera tantas cualidades, pero si me generó una incógnita, de todas las versiones que existen del gran titán de la tierra ¿Cuál es la más poderosa de todas? Es de esta versión de la que hablaremos en este artículo.

Godzilla sin duda alguna se han convertido en el emblema de los monstruos en el cine y la televisión, su influencia en la cultura popular es más que evidente, teniendo bajo su nombre alrededor de treinta películas, sin contar los videojuegos alusivos a su figura y las series de televisión.
El rey de los monstruos vio la luz por primera vez en 1954 en “Godzilla” dirigida por Ishiro Honda el cual dirigiría posteriormente algunas otras de las más famosas películas sobre el mítico monstruo, entre ellas la versión original de King Kong VS Godzilla, película de la cual tendremos un remake muy pronto como muchos ya saben.
Godzilla fue un éxito rotundo e indiscutible a nivel mundial, y desde entonces su filmografía y su popularidad no hizo más que ir en crecimiento, sobre todo en el país Nipón, cuna del famoso titán de los monstruos.

Tantas versiones, colores y tamaños del gran Godzilla me llevaron hacerme una pregunta ¿Cuál de todos ellos es el más poderoso y terrible? A lo largo de la historia Godzilla ha pasado por un montón de fase, pequeños de talles y cambios, el Godzilla que hará frente King Kong en esta nueva entrega no será el mismo que inició la franquicia (obviamente) ni tampoco será el que fue versionado en Estados Unidos de la mano de Roland Emmerich (película increíblemente vapuleada por la crítica). Este pertenece a otro “Monster-Verso”¿ pero cuál? ¿cuál de todos los Godzillas se alzaría con el rey de los reyes de la destrucción…?
Which is the most powerful of them all?
So many versions, colors and sizes of the great Godzilla led me to ask myself a question: Which of them all is the most powerful and terrible? Throughout history Godzilla has gone through a lot of phases, small sizes and changes, the Godzilla that will face King Kong in this new installment will not be the same one that started the franchise (obviously) nor will it be the one that was versioned in the United States by Roland Emmerich (film incredibly slammed by critics). This one belongs to another "Monster-Verse", but which one? Which of all the Godzillas would rise to become the king of the kings of destruction...?

Creo sin temor a equivocarme que el Godzilla más poderoso visto hasta la fecha, no es el que enfrentará a King Kong en esta nueva película, el Godzilla más poderoso es Godzilla Earth de la trilogía de películas que actualmente se encuentra en Netflix; Godzilla Planet of the Monster, sin duda alguna el Godzilla más fuerte de todos.

I believe without fear of contradiction that the most powerful Godzilla seen to date, is not the one that will face King Kong in this new movie, the most powerful Godzilla is Godzilla Earth from the trilogy of movies currently on Netflix; Godzilla Planet of the Monster, undoubtedly the strongest Godzilla of all.
¿Qué hace a este Godzilla tan especial?
El Godzilla más grande visto antes que este es el que participará en la lucha contra King Kong, este mismo Godzilla mide alrededor de unos ciento quince metros de altura, es bastante robusto y por supuesto bastante grande, puede lanzar el tan mítico aliento atómico y parece ser un duro combatiente, a diferencia de lo que muchos afirman en ninguna de las películas de la saga de este monstruo (Godzilla 2014 y King Of The Monster) se nos habla de su invulnerabilidad a las armas, pues bien parece como vimos en estas películas que los monstruos son capaces de dañarlo e incluso casi asesinarlo.
Godzilla Earth tiene una descomunal altura de trecientos metros , más del doble de al atura que ostenta el Godzilla del nuevo Monsterverso, adicional a ello posee el característico aliento atómico que en proporciones de tamaño es mucho más grande y este si posee una piel invulnerable a los ataques.
En apariencia no es demasiado distinto del Godizilla visto en Godzilla 2014, salvo que la piel de este no solo tiene una apariencia más robusta, sino que recuerda mucho a las texturas de las raíces de un árbol más que una piel escamosa como la de un reptil. Otro aspecto que me llamó la atención es que este Godzilla no tiene una dentadura convencional, más bien pareciera que sus dientes están recubiertos por una especie de armazón como si fueran de roca.
Al igual que los demás Godzillas es un gran nadador, superando a cualquier submarino, y es pese a su tamaño indetectable para los radares porque su cuerpo no ondas electromagnéticas como los demás monstruos. Otra cualidad a destacar es que la sola presencia de Godzilla es increíblemente dañina para los humanos, siendo esta una gran fuente de radiación, haciendo el suelo que pisa inhabitable además de ser totalmente inmune a cualquier arma nuclear.
Godzilla Earth puede crear variaciones si mismo a partir de pequeñas piezas que se desprenden de su cuerpo principal, pudiendo incluso crear monstruos parecidos a él de menor tamaño, aunque considerando las colosales dimensiones de este Godzilla, dichos monstruos aun serian enormes.
Puede incluso usar su cola como una barredora, causando gran devastación y acumular energía en ella para hacerla una especie de cortadora gigante. Definitivamente algo sin precedentes.
What makes this Godzilla so special?

Another quality to highlight is that the mere presence of Godzilla is incredibly harmful to humans, being a great source of radiation, making the ground he walks on uninhabitable as well as being totally immune to any nuclear weapon.
Godzilla Earth can create variations of itself from small pieces that detach from its main body, being able to create even smaller monsters similar to it, although considering the colossal dimensions of this Godzilla, such monsters would still be huge.
It can even use its tail as a sweeper, causing great devastation and accumulating energy in it to make it a kind of giant cutter. Definitely something unprecedented.

El más grande de los monstruos y unas excelentes películas.
Si eres fan de Godzilla y en general de las películas de Monstruos gigantes dándose de palizas entre ellos o contra la humanidad, sin duda disfrutaras esta trilogía de películas de Godzilla que puedes encontrar en Netflix. Personalmente creo que es una buena película en general, no es algo que te volará la cabeza, pero pasaras un buen rato y conocerás y veras en acción al que posiblemente es el Godzilla más poderoso hasta la fecha.

If you are a fan of Godzilla and in general of movies of giant Monsters beating the crap out of each other or against humanity, you will definitely enjoy this trilogy of Godzilla movies that you can find on Netflix. Personally I think it's a good movie overall, it's not something that will blow your mind, but you'll have a good time and you'll meet and see in action possibly the most powerful Godzilla to date
