Como fan fiel que soy de todas estas historias ficticias que giran alrededor de individuos con habilidades únicas, valoro muchísimo esos pequeños detalles en forma de referencias de comics que podemos conseguir en las películas. No podemos negar que son detalles que valen su peso en oro, reconoce la labor de los creadores de novelas gráficas y de la compañía encargada de difundir este contenido, así que el día de hoy quiero traerte mi segundo post sobre referencias de los comics en las películas.
As a loyal fan of all these fictional stories that revolve around individuals with unique abilities, I really appreciate those little details in the form of comic book references that we can get in the movies. We can't deny that they are details worth their weight in gold, it recognizes the work of the creators of graphic novels and the company in charge of spreading this content, so today I want to bring you my second post about comic book references in movies.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
A pesar de que puedo traerte muchísimas referencias de diferentes comics y su influencia en las películas, el día de hoy quiero hablar sobre uno solo: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns , debido a que esta miniserie de comics escrita por el fantástico Frank Miller logra capturar en mi opinión personal la esencia del Caballero de la Noche.
Although I can bring you many references of different comics and their influence on the movies, today I want to talk about only one: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns , because this mini-series of comics written by the fantastic Frank Miller manages to capture in my personal opinion the essence of the Knight of the Night.
El Caballero de la Noche Regresa || The Dark Knight Returns
Nos trae la historia de un Bruce Wayne ya mayor y retirado de sus labores como protector de Gotham y no solamente él se encuentra en una edad avanzada, Jim Gordon, Selina Kyle y hasta el Joker ya son personas que superan la barrera de los 50 años de edad.
He brings us the story of an older Bruce Wayne who has retired from his duties as Gotham's protector and not only is he at an advanced age, Jim Gordon, Selina Kyle and even the Joker are already people who have overcome the barrier of 50 years of age.
Este Batman se encuentra retirado debido a las grandes perdidas o como él dice dentro de los comics, sus más grandes fracasos, la muerte de Jason Todd y la violación de Barbara Gordon, ambos victimas del Joker hizo que este Batman se retirara. Fíjate que digo este Batman debido a que este persona pertenece al universo de tierra 12, esto quiere decir que, a pesar de que los personajes de esta tierra poseen los mismos orígenes, sus historias pueden tener pequeños detalles que la diferencia. Por ejemplo, nosotros conocemos que a través de la muerte de Jason, este personaje años más tarde sería revivido por Ra's al Ghul y adoptaría la identidad de Red Hood pero en The Dark Knight Return, Jason muere y es el principal motivo para que Bruce abandone las calles.
This Batman is retired due to the great losses or as he says inside the comics, his greatest failures, the death of Jason Todd and the rape of Barbara Gordon, both victims of the Joker made this Batman retire. Notice that I say this Batman because this person belongs to the universe of earth 12, this means that, although the characters of this earth have the same origins, their stories can have small details that make the difference. For example, we know that through the death of Jason, this character years later would be revived by Ra's al Ghul and would adopt the identity of Red Hood but in The Dark Knight Return, Jason dies and is the main reason for Bruce to leave the streets.
Bruce, ya adulto al ver como Gotham esta al borde de la crisis, decide regresar como justiciero, el Joker, que se encuentra en el Asylum de Arkham en estado de shock por el retiro de Batman, al ver que esté regresa , él también lo hace a través de un plan maquiavélico en donde participa en el show de David Endocrine y termina matando. Esta escena fue la que dio origen a la escena donde el Joker de Joaquín Phoenix termina matando al presentador del programa en su película de origen.
Bruce, now an adult, seeing how Gotham is on the verge of a crisis, decides to return as a vigilante, the Joker, who is in the Arkham Asylum in a state of shock at Batman's retirement. Seeing him return, he also does so through a Machiavellian plan in which he participates in the David Endocrine show and ends up killing. This scene was the one that gave origin to the scene where the Joker of Joaquin Phoenix ends up killing the presenter of the program in his movie of origin.

Otra de las escenas de otra película que tuvo orígenes dentro del comic de Frank Miller fue en The Dark Knight Rises, tercera entrega del director Christopher Nolan. En esta escena, Bruce se encuentra retirado por los acontecimientos de la película anterior y decide antes de regresar tener una conversación con Jim Gordon dentro del hospital.
Another scene from another film that had its origins in Frank Miller's comic book was in The Dark Knight Rises, the third film by director Christopher Nolan. In this scene, Bruce is retired because of the events of the previous film and decides before returning to have a conversation with Jim Gordon inside the hospital.
Las últimas dos escena y que para mí, son las mejores de todas es cuando dentro del comic, Batman decide regresar a sus actividades de vigilante, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos decide detenerlo y el encargado de hacer que esto suceda es Superman, lo que ocasiona el enfrentamiento de los dos Héroes más importantes de la franquicia de DC. El diseño de la armadura de Batman para enfrentar a Superman en "Batman V Superman" es sacado del comic de Frank Miller y la escena donde Superman es debilitado por el misil nuclear, también es sacado de este fantástico comic.
The last two scenes, which for me are the best of all, is when inside the comic Batman decides to return to his vigilante activities, the United States government decides to stop him and the person in charge of making this happen is Superman, which causes the confrontation of the two most important Heroes of the DC franchise. The design of Batman's armor to confront Superman in "Batman V Superman" is taken from Frank Miller's comic book and the scene where Superman is weakened by the nuclear missile, is also taken from this fantastic comic book.
A pesar de que te estoy comentando las escenas, me atrevería a decir que el comic de Frank Miller The Dark Knight logra atrapar la verdadera esencia del caballero de la noche, y que las referencias por más que puedan ser imágenes o escenas, existen cualquier cantidad de referencias de forma implícita que nos transmite todas las sensaciones que nos ayudan a conceptualizar aún más al vigilante y su entorno. Desde el profundo sentimiento de abandono ocasionado por la muerte de sus padres a el sentimiento de perdida a través de la muerte un compañero son joyas increíbles que podemos encontrar en diferentes entregas. Personalmente, me encanta toparme con estas sensaciones que pasan desde los comics a las películas y logran atrapar toda mi atención a través de su encanto.
Although I'm commenting on the scenes, I would dare to say that Frank Miller's comic The Dark Knight manages to capture the true essence of the knight of the night, and that the references, no matter how much they may be images or scenes, there are any number of references implicitly that transmit all the sensations that help us to conceptualize even more the knight and his surroundings. From the deep feeling of abandonment caused by the death of his parents to the feeling of loss through death a companion are incredible jewels that we can find in different deliveries. Personally, I love to come across these sensations that go from comics to movies and manage to capture all my attention through their charm.
