Quiero compartir contigo este sencillo procedimiento porque si estás escaso de dinero, olvidaste comprar un detalle para tu mami o simplemente no encuentras qué comprar, una tarjeta hecha con tus propias manos, no deja de ser algo valioso. Puedes hacer la tarjeta y comprar una caja de chocolates. ¿Listo?

The first thing to do is to fold the white cardboard in half, so that it is in the shape of a card.
On another piece of cardboard, you are going to cut a square of approximately 5 centimeters. Then, you will fold it in half and draw a curve, which you will then cut with the scissors. You will get a perfectly drawn heart.

Lo primero que hay que hacer, es doblar la cartulina blanca a la mitad, para que quede con la forma de tarjeta.
En otro pedazo de cartulina, vas a cortar un cuadrado de aproximadamente 5 centímetros. Luego, lo doblarás a la mitad y le dibujarás una curva, que luego cortarás con la tijera. Te va a salir un corazón, perfectamente dibujado.

This little white heart will serve as a mold to make several more on the red cardboard. You will cut one, then you will cut five more, but each one a little bit smaller than the previous one.
Este corazoncito blanco va a servirte de molde para hacer varios más en la cartulina roja. Vas a cortar uno, luego vas a cortar cinco más, pero cada uno un poquito más pequeño que el anterior.
Then you are going to glue them, symmetrically, on the first sheet folded in half. Then, if you like, you can paint a little white mark on the hearts to simulate glitter. Gabriel did it with a tippex eraser. After that, you are going to trace the edges with a pencil, then cut that edge. Look at the images:
Después vas a pegarlos, de manera simétrica, en la primera hoja doblada a la mitad. Luego, si es de tu agrado, puedes pintarle a los corazones, una marquita blanca, para simular brillo. Gabriel lo hizo con un corrector tippex. Luego de esto, vas a trazar los bordes con un lápiz, para después cortar ese borde. Mira las imágenes:
Now let's go to the internal part of the card. We took a black cardboard, with white nuggets we cut it smaller than the white cardboard and Gabriel decided to give it that touch on the edges, which I thought was great. A little bit of glue and that's it. I wrote the notes that I would put on the card.
Ahora vamos con la parte interna de la tarjeta. Cogimos una cartulina negra, con pepitas blancas la cortamos más pequeña que la cartulina blanca y Gabriel decidió darle ese toque en los bordes, que me pareció genial. Un poquito de pegamento y listo. Yo le escribí las notas que colocaría en la tarjeta.
This is what the card looked like when Gabriel said: "I'm done!
He stood up, picked up everything and went to the computer.
Así quedó la tarjeta, cuando Gabriel dijo: "¡Terminé!
Se paró, recogió todo y se fue a la computadora.
But being the detail-oriented woman that I am, I thought something else was missing. So I decided to make a little butterfly to add another touch to the card.
Pero yo como mujer detallista que soy, pensé que algo más le faltaba. Así que decidí hacer una mariposita para darle otro toque a la tarjeta.
