Hot glue gun possibly the best tool ever 🔥🔫💪🏽😍

Not in an electrical box. That's dangerous.

How's it any more dangerous than plastic that is flammable as well?

The difference is that plastic is UL tested to withstand whats supposed to be in that box. The plastic has a fire rating of whatever location is suggested to be used in. They all have a fire ratings. The moment you place wood inside there changes the whole engineering and safety aspect of the equipment.

True, well glad I am keeping these boxes outside well away from the home. None of these projects are running inside my home.

@kiel91 so true.. this glue gun comes in handy alot.

So simple but so convenient isn't it? Nice one.

Yeah it's worked well for me so far. Long term maybe the wood will degrade but so would the plastic.

If it's not placed in a humid environment it will probably last long enough.

That's against national electric code...I can probably find the exact code if you want

I believe it.. probably alot of my projects are not to code.

Maybe. But putting wood into an electrical junction is a huge no no. You can use wood as a chase meaning no junctions are made there. The moment you make connections inside of something it changes the whole game.

Ah okay well good point, I will do them in the future with the proper materials.. The back plates only add $50 or so dollars to the project so its not all that bad. Just wish I had a way to make them myself and save some money.. But not at the cost of safety.

You can use a Dremel tool here on wood, metal, glass, electronics, plastic, and many other materials. Dremel tools are very useful for arts and crafts projects and small home repairs, and are excellent for working in small or hard-to-reach spaces.

How would I use the Dremel on my electrical box?
