Built at the same time as the siege trireme was her escort, the ram trireme. The ram trireme has the same basic hull design, but with a reinforced "kokoshnik bow" and a very different armament.

If you are remotely familiar with Russian... anything, really... you can probably figure out how the kokoshnik bow got its name. The namesake upswept portion of the hull protects two 105-mm cannons mounted on top of the bow. Each of the sponsons below and behind mounts a 152.4-mm cannon.

A third 152.4-mm cannon is mounted on top of a platform just aft of the funnels. Two more 105-mm cannons are mounted on top of the stern, and four 76.2-mm cannons are mounted in the stern sponsons. Twenty more 76.2-mm cannons are mounted on the deck, along with twenty heavy machine guns. In battle, the ram trireme will fly in between the siege trireme and any attacking aircraft and unleash a torrent of machine gun fire. The larger guns, naturally, are used against heavier flying machines, such as other armoured airships.

I have quite a lot of new props in mind for this part of the story, the question is what shall I work on first?
