Hello Friends,
It's been about a month or some few weeks now since I started to show much of my interest in the effects of Chiaroscuro, and it has just been so inspiring and interesting. I know some people, perhaps artists would have been wonder what exactly I've been talking about and how exactly it is to take note of Chiaroscuro.

In drawings and paintings, there are some works you get to draw or paint that do not appear under strong light, in such works, you get to have most times just two tones which would be the mid-tones and the darkest tone. But, when study or using Chiaroscuro, you are drawing or painting an object under heavy light be it sunlight or artificial light but then, the light is heavy or much on the object.

Having this heavy light could make the object appear with less or no mid-tones but the contrast would be very heavy whereby the object could appear just like a straight movement from light to darkness, and sometimes like in the drawing I have above, the contrast might be heavy and yet the object still has some mid-tones, it depends on the shapes and forms of the object.

The drawing above has some spots whereby I left just plain without strokes, those spots are the highlights which preaches the Chiaroscuro, leaving those places blank or plain means the light source is pointing directly to such places. Majorly, the concept of Chiaroscuro means having or portraying heavy light penetrate on object while the base or the part hidden from the light appears dark and darker!

PROOFS OF OWNERSHIP!
