Sentimiento Caraqueño (Merengue) - Los Cañoneros [English - Español]

I have always been lucky, that the songs that I like and that I want to integrate into the repertoire of Los Cañoneros, I do so immediately. However, with this song, for some strange reason, I had to wait more than 15 years.

It is a composition by a friend, Pedro Lacorte, and I always wanted to record it with the group, as a gift for him. But it never materialized. I finally had the arrangement ready in 2012 and that year he died, before I could record it.

In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful songs written to Caracas. For the recording we also had strings, which were arranged by Chapis Lasca and recorded by Daniel Lasca and Ana Elba Dominguez.

Siempre he tenido la suerte, que las canciones que me gustan y que quiero integrarlas al repertorio de Los Cañoneros, lo hago de manera inmediata. Sin embargo, con esta canción, por alguna extraña razón, tuve que esperar más de 15 años.

Es una composición de un amigo, Pedro Lacorte, y siempre quise grabarla con el grupo, como un regalo para él. Pero nunca se concretaba. El arreglo, finalmente, lo tuve listo en 2012 y ese año murió él, antes de yo poder grabarla.

A mi juicio es una de las canciones más hermosas que le han escrito a Caracas. Para la grabación contamos adicionalmente con cuerdas, que fueron arreglas por Chapis Lasca y grabadas por Daniel Lasca y Ana Elba Domínguez.
