Beach shorts [ESP-ENG]

Hola, amigos, hoy les traigo un tutorial de cómo elaborar un short playero con tela hindú.

Como ya saben se acerca la época de visitar las playas, ríos o piscinas y en estos sitios es mejor estar cómodas, para sentirnos libres y disfrutar al máximo.

Antes de empezar el tutorial les contaré una pequeña anécdota de esta tela. Hace mucho tiempo mi mamá me había hecho un hermoso vestido, le adjunto una foto aquí debajo, lo usé un día y lo amé, por lo cómodo y fresco de la tela, además que me encantaba como se me veía; cuando llegó el momento de lavarlo lo hice a mano y con cuidado y lo dejé secar al sol, cuando nuevamente me lo voy a medir había quedado como 2 tallas más pequeñas jajajaja, menos mal el vestido mi mamá lo hizo un poco más holgado y quedó mucho más a mi medida; lo seguí usando durante mucho tiempo, y finalmente se comenzó a romper la tela en el torso y decidí transformarlo en una falda, pero no la usaba casi, así que hoy decidí transformarla en un short.

Hello friends, today I bring you a tutorial on how to make beach shorts with Indian fabric.

As you already know, the time to visit beaches, rivers or swimming pools is approaching and in these places it is better to be comfortable, to feel free and enjoy to the fullest.

Before starting the tutorial I will tell you a little anecdote about this fabric. A long time ago my mother had made me a beautiful dress, I attached a photo below, I wore it one day and I loved it, because of how comfortable and fresh the fabric was, plus I loved how it looked on me; When the time came to wash it, I did it by hand and carefully and let it dry in the sun. When I went to measure it again, it was about 2 sizes too small hahaha, thank goodness the dress was made a little looser by my mother and it fit much more tailored to me; I kept wearing it for a long time, and finally the fabric started to tear on the torso and I decided to transform it into a skirt, but I hardly wore it, so today I decided to transform it into shorts.

Procedimiento:

Yo suelo coser a mano, pero si cuentan con una máquina sería genial, ya que estos les ahorraría un montón de tiempo y cansancio.

Primero estiré la tela en una superficie amplia, como anteriormente era una falda está cosida a los lados, tengo dos rectángulos unidos por ambos lados.

Procedure:

I usually sew by hand, but if you have a machine it would be great, since this would save you a lot of time and fatigue.

First I stretched the fabric on a large surface, as it was previously a skirt sewn on the sides, I have two rectangles joined on both sides.

Luego doble la tela a la mitad, lo que me dio un total de cuatro partes de la tela

I then folded the fabric in half, which gave me a total of four pieces of fabric

Después tomé el molde y lo calqué en la tela, mi molde fue otro short que ya tenía, si ustedes lo prefieren pueden calcar un molde en un papel.

Then I took the mold and traced it on the fabric, my mold was another short that I already had, if you prefer you can trace a mold on paper.

Luego corte el short, procuren tener unas tijeras con un buen filo, ya que pueden arruinar la tela

Then cut the shorts, make sure you have sharp scissors, as they can ruin the fabric

Después procedí a abrir la tela ya cortada, y cosí los laterales que les muestro marcados en rojo

Then I proceeded to open the already cut fabric, and sewed the sides that I show you marked in red

Una vez cosidos ambos lados uní la entrepierna del short

Once both sides were sewn, I joined the crotch of the shorts.

Para hacer la pretina doble la parte superior del short hacia adentro, y dejé un espacio para meter el elástico.

To make the waistband, fold the top of the shorts inward, leaving a space to insert the elastic.

Finalmente cerré la pretina y este fue el resultado, ¡lo amé! A pesar de que fue hecho a mano debo decir que no duré mucho tiempo cosiendo. Esta prenda es muy cómoda y fresca. Espero puedan elaborar uno igual o mejor ¡Hasta un próximo post!

I finally closed the waistband and this was the result, I loved it! Even though it was handmade I must say that I didn't last long sewing. This garment is very comfortable and cool. I hope you can make one just as good or better. See you in the next post!
