This time I come with the restoration of an iron chair that has been in my mother's home for decades, and has undergone many restorations, its initial color was black, then it turned to green, later to silver, which was how it was until today, I'm going to restore it and paint it white.
En esta oportunidad vengo con la restauración de una silla de hierro que tiene décadas en el hogar de mi mamá, y ha pasado por muchas restauraciones, su color inicial era negro, luego paso a verde, posteriormente a plateado que era como se encontraba hasta el día de hoy, yo la voy a restaurar y la pintare de blanco.
The materials that I used for its restoration were: white paint, a brush and sandpaper of 80 and 120.
Los materiales que utilicé para su restauración fueron: pintura blanca, brocha y lijas de 80 y 120.
The first thing we must do is start sanding with sandpaper 80 to remove all rough and old paint.
Lo primero que debemos hacer es empezar a lijar con papel de lija 80 para quitar toda la pintura vieja y rugosa.
Then we remove the dust with a cloth.
Luego quitamos el polvo con un paño.
And we sand again, this time with the 120 sandpaper to leave the piece soft and smooth, removing the dust again.
Y lijamos de nuevo, esta vez con la lija 120 para dejar la pieza suave y lisa, quitando de nuevo el polvo.
The next step is to proceed to paint it, we are going to give it 2 coats of paint so that the color is impregnated and uniform.
El siguiente paso es proceder a pintar, le vamos a dar 2 manos de pintura para que el color quede impregnado y uniforme.
Already painted we place the chair in the sun to dry.
Ya pintado colocamos la silla al sol para que se seque.
Ready, the chair has been like new, I premiered it having a coffee in the afternoon.
Listo, la silla ha quedado como nueva, la estrené tomando un café por la tarde.
