Hoy quiero compartir con uds una pequeña restauración de una repisa de madera vieja que tenía en casa, la misma la utilizaré para usarla de pequeño exhibidor en mi pequeño negocio que está muy pronto de iniciar, así que en este post les muestro como hice esta pequeña restauración.

First I started by disassembling the shelf and moving the wood aside and reserving the nails that could be used later.

Primero comencé desarmando la repisa e ir apartando las maderas y reservando los clavos que pudiesen servir más adelante.

Once I had selected the woods, I cleaned them and gave them a little sanding to remove a little roughness and dirt that it might have.

Una vez que haya seleccionado las maderas, las limpie y les di una pequeña lijada para quitar un poco las asperezas y el sucio que pudiese tener.

After we have all the slats sanded we are going to give it a paint. In this case, use cold brown paint to give it a more original wood tone.

Luego de tener todas las tablillas lijada vamos a darle una pintura. En este caso use pintura al frío color marrón para que tuviera un tono más original a madera.

After giving them a coat of paint, we let them dry to start assembling our small shelf, in this case I was guided by the marks of the nail holes left in the wood.

Después de darles una mano de pintura dejamos que se seque para comenzar armar nuestra pequeña repisa, en esta caso me iba guiando por las marcas de los orificios de los clavos que quedaron en la madera.

Once we have the shelf assembled, we give it a few small touch-ups of paint and some other adjustment that may be missing, in order to have a new piece of furniture for my business, the final result is shown below.

Ya teniendo la repisa armada le damos unos pequeños retoques de pintura y algún otro ajuste que le pueda faltar, para así tener una nuevo mueble para mi negocio, el resultado final se los muestro a continuación.
