Hoy recurrí a un estilo más ilustrativo para hacer otro dibujo más de la serie de Avatar la leyenda de Aang, bueno, más ilustrativo y más cute, acompañame a verlo.
Today I resorted to a more illustrative style to make another drawing from the Avatar the Legend of Aang series, well, more illustrative and more cute, come with me to see it.
Día 11: Toda la ternura de Appa
Day 11: All the tenderness of Appa
Mientras pensaba que hacer para mi ilustración llego a mi mente Appa, el bisonte volador del avatar (todavía ando obsesionada con la serie) y me pareció una buena idea hacerlo. Esta vez tampoco busque referencias, todo lo estaba dibujando de memoria.
While I was thinking about what to do for my illustration, Appa, the flying bison from the avatar (I'm still obsessed with the series) came to my mind and I thought it was a good idea to do it. This time I didn't look for references either, I was drawing everything from memory.
Para comenzar a dibujar por lo general hago siempre mis lineas guías, en este caso hice un ovalo grande para la cabeza y dos mas pequeños debajo para los grandes cachetes de Appa.
To start drawing I usually always make my guide lines, in this case I made a big oval for the head and two smaller ones underneath for Appa's big cheeks.
Después de hacer un Appa super tierno pensé en dibujar al equipo avatar en un estilo chibi para que combinara perfecto con el bisonte. Cuando me refiero a dibujar personajes en este estilo es porque tienen proporciones distintas a las normales, por ejemplo suelen hacerse con la cabeza de mayor tamaño, a mi por ejemplo me gusta trabajarlos haciendo dos o tres círculos para ubicar las proporciones del cuerpo completo.
After making a super cute Appa I thought of drawing the avatar team in a chibi style to match perfectly with the bison. When I refer to draw characters in this style is because they have different proportions to the normal ones, for example they are usually made with a bigger head size, I like to work them making two or three circles to place the proportions of the whole body.
Debo decirte que me emocione tanto coloreando con los marcadores que ni me paso por la cabeza agarrar el teléfono para tomar fotos y cuando por fin lo hice tenia ya una parte del proceso adelantada.
I have to tell you that I got so excited coloring with the markers that I didn't even think about grabbing my phone to take pictures and when I finally did I was already part way through the process.
En este punto si me fui a googlear al equipo avatar para ver sobretodo los detalles de su vestimenta, mi memoria es buena pero a veces pasan muchas cosas desapercibidas.
At this point I did go to google the avatar team to see especially the details of their clothing, my memory is good but sometimes many things go unnoticed.
¿No te parece una cara super tierna? a mi si. Y algo que le da esa ternura son los brillos de los ojos y nariz siento que sin eso seria una cara completamente distinta.
Don't you think it's a super cute face? I do. And something that gives it that tenderness are the sparkles in the eyes and nose I feel that without that it would be a completely different face.
También pinte a Momo, pero casi ni se nota por los colores que usé que eran marrones muy parecidos a la cola de Appa, aparte la punta de los marcadores es más gruesa y no lograba hacer detalles tan pequeños en su cara, por lo que lo deje sin rostro, entonces es como una mancha marrón que se ve en el fondo.
I also painted Momo, but you can hardly notice it because the colors I used were brown, very similar to Appa's tail, besides the tip of the markers is thicker and I couldn't make such small details on his face, so I left him without a face, so it's like a brown spot that you can see in the background.
Una vez tenia la base de color lista era el turno de delinear con un marcador punta fina todo el dibujo. Este delineado o te salva todo el dibujo o lo puede destruir y es bastante triste cuando eso pasa.
Once I had the base color ready it was time to outline with a fine tip marker the whole drawing. This outlining either saves the whole drawing or it can destroy it and it is quite sad when that happens.
Y así quedo este dibujo del equipo avatar realizado con marcadores Touch. Mi personaje favorito sin duda fue Appa, me encanta lo tierno que se ve y en general me gusta el dibujo de todos los personajes.
Todavía necesito seguir explorando las posibilidades de esta técnica porque hasta ahora solo la uso rellenando con colores que ojo, no estoy diciendo que este mal, pero siento que pueden dar más, solo que hay que experimentar a ver que tal resulta.

And this is how this drawing of the avatar team was made with Touch markers. My favorite character without a doubt was Appa, I love how cute he looks and in general I like the drawing of all the characters.
I still need to continue exploring the possibilities of this technique because so far I only use it filling with colors that eye, I'm not saying it's wrong, but I feel that they can give more, I just have to experiment to see how it turns out.

Thank you very much for joining me in another day of challenge, I think what is costing me more for now is to write because either my spirits are low or my energy is spent or just looking for a thousand and one distractions to not sit in front of the computer to talk to you. The good thing is that in the end I do it and that's why I'm here and also that in the end I'm enjoying the drawing process a lot.
