Greetings creative friends around the world, I wish you an excellent weekend, in my country today commemorates 214 years of the proclamation of the independence of Venezuela from Spanish rule; this time I share my creative project inspired by Silvershield Knight, this is a bandolier bag in two colors; fuchsia and black taking as reference, the cape of the knight (fuchsia) and the tail and mane of the horse (black), ideal for daily outings when we need few items in the portfolio.
Saludos amigos creativos en todo el mundo, les deseo un excelente fin de semana, en mi país hoy se conmemoran 214 años de la proclamación de la independencia de Venezuela del dominio español; en esta ocasión comparto mi proyecto creativo inspirado en Silvershield Knight, se trata de un bolso bandolero en dos colores; fucsia y negro tomando como referencia, la capa del caballero (fucsia) y la cola y crin del caballo (negro), ideal para las salidas diarias cuando necesitamos pocos objetos en la cartera.

After making the patterns I cut the pieces of the bag; four rectangles of 25 * 23 centimeters (2 in main fabric and two in lining), the flap (25 * 20 centimeters, in main fabric and lining), the loops (2 strips of 2 * 8 centimeters), strip to stick the zipper (7 * 25 centimeters) and a rectangle for the inner pocket.
Once the pieces were cut I faced the lining and main flap, sewed leaving an opening and turned over, to make the inner pocket I folded the rectangle in half, sewed the outline leaving an opening to turn over and repeated both pieces.

Luego de hacer los patrones corté las piezas del bolso; cuatro rectángulos de 25 * 23 centímetros (2 en tela principal y dos en forro), la solapa (25 * 20 centímetros, en tela principal y forro), las trabillas (2 tiras de 2 * 8 centímetros), tira para pegar el cierre (7 * 25 centímetros) y un rectángulo para el bolsillo interno.
Cortadas las piezas enfrenté el forro y principal de la solapa, cosí dejando una abertura y volteé, para hacer el bolsillo interno doblé el rectángulo a la mitad, cosí el contorno dejado una abertura para voltear y repisé ambas piezas.
Then I glued the pocket to one of the linings, leaving a seam allowance at the bottom and top, and sewed the belt loops.
Seguidamente pegué el bolsillo a uno de los forros, dejando un margen de costura en la parte inferior y superior, cosí también las trabillas.
To glue the zipper I faced the right side of the main fabric with the right side of the zipper, then repeated; on the other side of the zipper I glued the tab or strip, facing the right side of the zipper and the fabric and back of the zipper with the right side of the lining.
Para pegar la cremallera enfrenté el derecho de la tela principal con el derecho del cierre, luego repisé; del otro lado del cierre pegué la pestaña o tira, enfrentando los derechos del cierre y la tela y revés del cierre con derecho del forro.
The next step is to assemble the bag, facing the back of the flap with the right side of the front and right side with the right side of the flap and back, sew on the remaining edge of the flap and stitch.
With a straight stitch I glued the loops to their respective slides, leaving a seam allowance between the needle and the stitch, thus preventing the needle from stumbling when sewing and breaking.

Once the bag was assembled, I faced the main fabric and lining right sides together, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch, leaving an opening in the lining to turn the piece over.
Armado el bolso, enfrenté los derechos de la tela principal y forro, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta dejando una abertura en forro para voltear la pieza.
The last step is to place the poly ribbon and the straps, pass them through the straps and sew them at the ends, this is how the Silvershield Knight inspired shoulder bag is finished.
El último paso es colocar la cinta poli y las correderas, se pasa por las correderas y se cosen en los extremos, así está terminado el bolso bandolero inspirado en Silvershield Knight
I liked the result of the bandolier, it has the perfect size to carry the necessary objects when you go out for shopping or quick errands, the color combination is great; I had a little difficulty when closing the main piece and sewing through the zipper, this step I did very slowly sewing one stitch at a time by turning the handwheel of the machine. The waterproof canvas fabric is very good for this kind of projects, it is easy to sew and very practical.
El resultado del bandolero me gustó, tiene el tamaño perfecto para llevar los objetos necesarios cuando se sale de compras o diligencias rápidas, la combinación de colores es genial; tuve un poco de dificultad al momento de cerrar la pieza principal y pasar costura por el cierre este paso lo hice muy despacio cosiendo una puntada a la vez girando el volante de la máquina. La tela loneta impermeable es muy buena para este tipo de proyectos, es sencilla de coser y muy práctica.

No imaginas como admiro a las personas que tienen la capacidad y la paciencia de crear este tipo de artículos. Yo no sé si podría y creo que tampoco tiempo tiempo para indagar jajaja, pero disfruto ver como lo hacen los demás, sobretodo cuando comparten todo el proceso creativo en Hive y se puede apreciar el paso a paso. Hola @jesuslnrs, gracias por tus palabras de motivación, la costura es mi gran pasión y disfrutó cada proyecto, aunque en el camino se presentan contratiempos y dificultades, es satisfactorio ver el trabajo terminado y que con tanta dedicación se pudo lograr; en este caso fue un poco difícil coser la parte del cierre en los laterales por el grosor de este más dos capas de tela encima; es cierto, el tamaño es perfecto para salidas rápidas, muchas chichas y me incluyo je, je pretendemos llevar literalmente la casa en la cartera 😂🫣😀.

La tela tafeta viene en varias presentaciones, la que usé para el forro es muy delgada para los impermeables, en el castillo venden una especial para los impermeables, si mal no recuerdo el nombre es tafeta impermeable.
