Hello beautiful people
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day from this part of the world, I hope you are all doing great just as I am doing here, Thank God it's Friday and I'm so happy to share with you with all pleasure the making of this simple cute pouch with zipper I made for a friend for her little items just as she requested.
I'm always known for my creativity with people around me, most of them has benefited from my creativity as I have made so many items for them and I'm so glad to make all those useful items for them to put smile on their faces. This is the recent pouch I made for my friend and she was so glad to receive it.
Few days ago, my friend told me she needed to get a simple pouch for herself but her complain was that those sold at the store don't usually last long, they get torn in few months since she has been seeing me gifting out different types of pouch to family and friends, she asked if I can make one for her as well and she brought the sample of what she wanted and I promised to get it done for her, to me,it's not a difficult task hence I have some left over fabric and the materials needed to accomplish the project, all I needed to do is to get to work immediately and surprisingly, it was done in less than an hour.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
First was to cut out 2 pieces of 12 x 6" from the main fabric
The main fabric was placed on an interfacing to cut out same shape and ironed on it to make it firm.
I cut out same shape of lining to turn it inside out for neat finishing
A zipper of 10" was cut out and a small piece to pipe the edge
The zipper was taken to the sewing machine as I sew the small piece on the end of the zipper.
I measured 2" both sides of the main fabric from where I started sewing the zipper on both sides with the lining.
I placed fabric to fabric and lining and lining as I cut out 1" on the four sides with the zipper opened to the middle.
It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew all the sides and edges together leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out
It was turned inside out and the opening on the lining was sewn together.
Finally, the space at the tip of the zipper was folded in and sewn downward by 1" on the four sides and this is the final and beautiful outcome.
I have some items in it just to see how nice it would look and I'm so happy with the beautiful outcome just as my friend did.
I hope you like the simplicity and cute outcome of this pouch.
It is elegant, stylish, and beautiful. It looks pretty cool. Good to see each step of making this. Great work!
Thanks so much, I'm glad it came out this nice.
