Greetings to you all in this great community on this beautiful day, i hope you are all foing great, it's another creative day with your girl and i hope you will like and appreciate this somple creativity design of a drawstring bag i made using fabric scraps for keeping some of our little items.
I love to make some creative design that are useful from fabric scraps, this is one thing i have learnt and i have so much interest in, using fabric scraps to make gift for people around me who would appreciate my work instead of trashing those pieces away. Today, i will like to share this simple drawstring bag with three pockets and a rope to secure the items in it.
Join me as i take you through the cutting and sewing process
From my pieces of fabric, i measured and cut out 12 x 12"
It was double folded and sewn round the 4 sides on my sewing machine
It was folded in a triangle shape on the wrong side and i measured 1.5" from the tip and it was sewn on a straight line across
It was turned to the right side and was folded in two to locate the mid point
I marked the middle and i sew across it
Both pointed edges were folded in and i sew 0.5" at the top on both sides
It was opened and was folded in two after which i sew on both sides
I made 2 ropes from a bias tape and it was inserted in the loop i made from one end to the other and repeated on the other side as well
As simple as that, this is the drawstring bag i made from a piece of fabric and i hope you like it
This can be used to keep some items like earrings, bracelet, lip gloss and other little items which will be secured with the rope
