Hay piezas únicas que permanecen entre nuestras cosas y no las sabemos apreciar. hay cosas muy valiosas que muchas veces hemos heredado de nuestros abuelos, padres o amigos que a través de la vida van dejando un recuerdo o una huella en nuestro corazón.
En muchas oportunidades les he contado de la abuela Petra, quiera era mi vecina pero tuvo que partir de este plano terrenal, ella y yo siempre compartimos todo, durante 15 años fuimos las mejores de las amigas, de esas que ya casi no existen por allí.
There are unique pieces that remain among our things and we do not know how to appreciate them. there are very valuable things that many times we have inherited from our grandparents, parents or friends that through life are leaving a memory or a mark in our heart.
On many occasions I have told you about grandmother Petra, she was my neighbor but had to leave this earthly plane, she and I always shared everything, for 15 years we were the best of friends, of those that no longer exist over there.
De Petra pude heredar muchas cosas, sus hijas sabían del altísimo aprecio que nos teníamos y por eso me regalaron muchas cosas que para mí tienen un valor gigantesco. Ese es el caso de esta mesa de noche, considero que es muy bonita y tiene un modelo muy particular, elegante y antigua. De estas mesas ya casi no se ven en el mercado, ahora todo es moderno y aunque respeto el estilo definitivamente me quedo con lo viejo y hermoso.
From Petra I inherited many things, her daughters knew of the high esteem we had for each other and that is why they gave me many things that for me have a gigantic value. That is the case of this night table, I think it is very nice and has a very particular model, elegant and antique. Of these tables are almost no longer seen in the market, now everything is modern and although I respect the style I definitely stay with the old and beautiful.

Como ven esta mesa estaba muy desgastada, allí era donde mi viejita coloca su café, sus medicinas, por eso se marcó demasiado, así que lo primero que hice fue comprar mis materiales y empezar la trasformación.
As you can see this table was very worn, that's where my old lady puts her coffee, her medicines, that's why it was too marked, so the first thing I did was to buy my materials and start the trasformation.

Paso a paso ☀🍃 🌈 Step by step
Hace tiempo mi amigo carpintero me enseñó que cuando vamos a pintar o renovar una pieza de madera lo primero que hay que hacer es lavarla muy bien, así que le eché bastante cepillo y repetí el proceso varias veces.
Some time ago my carpenter friend taught me that when we are going to paint or renovate a piece of wood the first thing to do is to wash it very well, so I put plenty of brush on it and repeated the process several times.
Dejamos secar muy bien y luego comenzamos a lijar suavemente en dirección de las líneas de la madera, no sé si se dice así pero lo que quiero decir es que si haces movimiento en forma circular o contrario a las líneas de la madera entonces no te va a quedar bien el trabajo.
We let it dry very well and then we begin to sand gently in the direction of the lines of the wood, I do not know if it is said this way but what I mean is that if you make movement in a circular way or contrary to the lines of the wood then you will not get the job right.
Debemos sacar todas las piezas que contenga nuestra pieza y lijar completamente, así quedara todo bien prolijo, impecable.
We must remove all the pieces that contain our piece and sand completely, so everything will be neat, impeccable.

Con una brocha fina aplicamos una capa de sellador, esto protegerá la madera de cualquier animal y luego aplicamos una capa de Barniz, dejamos secar al sol por un día o dos y listo, ya tienes una pieza nueva para engalanar tus espacios.
Ahora esta mesa la tengo junto a mi cama, hace un tiempo restauré esta lámpara rosada que también era de mi viejita linda, en verdad valoro mucho las cosas que me regalan y esto para mí son piezas muy especiales porque me recuerdan a una persona a quien Dios me dio la dicha de conocer y de mantener una hermosa amistad. A ti Petra quiero dedicar este post.
With a thin brush apply a coat of sealer, this will protect the wood from any animal and then apply a coat of Varnish, let dry in the sun for a day or two and ready, you have a new piece to adorn your spaces.
Now I have this table next to my bed, some time ago I restored this pink lamp that also belonged to my pretty old lady, I really value the things that are given to me and this for me are very special pieces because they remind me of a person whom God gave me the joy of knowing and maintaining a beautiful friendship.
