Hello to all my Hive friends... đŸ±

Today I'm continuing with my Christmas theme. I loved the idea of making pendants to decorate spaces or the Christmas tree, so here's a new multipurpose Decorative Pendant Featuring a 2D Snowman made using the quilling technique.

Hoping you like it, I leave you my creative process:

Let's get started:😃

Comencemos:😃

‱ Cintas para quilling.
‱ Aguja para quilling.
‱ Cartulinas.
‱ Guillotina de cortar papel.
‱ Pega blanca extra fuerte (de carpintería).
‱ Estrella decorativa.
‱ Argolla de bisuteria.
‱ Canutillos negros.
‱ Pincel.
‱ Tijera.
‱ Naylon transparente.

‱ Quilling strips.
‱ Quilling needle.
‱ Cardstock.
‱ Paper cutter.
‱ Extra-strong white glue (carpentry glue).
‱ Decorative star.
‱ Jewelry ring.
‱ Black bugle beads.
‱ Paintbrush.
‱ Scissors.
‱ Clear nylon.

‱ I took 4 mm wide quilling tape and, using the needle, rolled it up until I reached the end of the tape. I sealed it with extra-strong white glue and removed it from the needle to form a closed circle. This will be the doll's head.

‱ To make the body, I made another closed circle that was slightly larger. I joined both circles with extra-strong white glue.

‱ For the little hat, I took 4mm wide red and green strips, cut out several pieces which I stuck together to form a single strip, rolled it up with the needle and formed a closed circle, then molded it with my finger, lifting it up to form the hat. I applied extra-strong white glue to the inside to prevent it from moving or deforming, and let it dry thoroughly before continuing to work.

‱ Decorate the hat with a small pompom. To make it, take 4mm wide apple green ribbon and make vertical cuts with scissors, then roll it up with a needle, seal it with glue, remove it from the needle, and open the pompom slightly with your fingers. Glue it to the top of the hat.

‱ For the arms, I took thick brown ribbon and used scissors to cut it into a branch-like shape with fingers. I glued it to the sides of the doll's body.

‱ I made the scarf by wrapping red ribbon with green ends around the doll's neck and decorating it with a star.

‱ To make the eyes, I glued two beads to the doll's face.

‱ I took a 3mm wide orange ribbon and made a small closed circle, which I shaped into a cone using the tip of a pair of scissors. I applied extra-strong white glue to the inside and glued it to the doll's face.

‱ To hang the jewelry ring, I took a piece of thick green ribbon, put the ring through the middle of it, folded it in half, and glued it to the back of the hat with extra-strong white glue.

You can add the pendant of your choice, or if you want to use it to decorate the Christmas tree, you can add a piece of clear nylon or thread in the color of your choice. In my case, I used nylon.

This is how I finished this little 2D Christmas snowman using the quilling technique.
