Hello my friends, good evening, this day I come to show you the step by step of how to make and install a protective mesh for my fence.
Era algo que realmente necesitaba debido a que tengo mis peluditos que son muy traviesos y cada vez que intentaba dejar la puerta abierta para que entrara un poco de ventilación a la casa pues estos se me escapaban y la verdad me daba miedo que esto siguiera sucediendo porque les podía pasar algo malo o desorientarse y no volver y bueno no es algo tan difícil de hacer y sin embargo tiene varios beneficios para la casa y los que allí habitamos.
It was something I really needed because I have my little furry friends who are very naughty and every time I tried to leave the door open to let some ventilation into the house, they would escape and I was really afraid that this would keep happening because something bad could happen to them or they could get disoriented and not come back and well it is not so difficult to do and yet it has several benefits for the house and those of us who live there.
No sé si a ustedes les sucede pero a veces se nos pasa el tiempo en tonterías y no prestamos atención a esos pequeños detalles que necesita nuestra casita para que cada vez sea un poco más funcional y cómoda y cuando lo hacemos siempre nos parece que pudimos haberlo hecho mucho antes jaajajaja pero así es la vida.
Mis gatitos son muy curiosos, a todas horas quieren estar afuera de la casa para cazar algún animalito o simplemente tomar aire y ver gente pasar, así que sobretodo lo decidí hacer por ellos para que no se me aburrieran jajaja, los que tienen mascotas me entenderán a la perfección.
I don't know if it happens to you but sometimes we spend our time in silly things and we don't pay attention to those little details that our little house needs to be a little more functional and comfortable and when we do it always seems that we could have done it much earlier hahahaha but that's life.
My kittens are very curious, at all times they want to be outside the house to hunt some animal or just get some air and watch people passing by, so I decided to do it for them so they don't get bored hahaha, those who have pets will understand me perfectly.
Así que me puse manos a las obras. Para mi pequeño pero muy importante proyecto necesite los siguientes materiales:
- Listones de madera de pino (ya los tenia cortados de un trabajo anterior)
- Sierra caladora
- Taladro
- Tornillos
- Metro
- Martillo
- La malla (aproximadamente 3 mtrs)
So I got down to work. For my small but very important project I needed the following materials:
- Pine wood strips (I already had them cut from a previous job).
- Jig saw
- Drill
- Screws
- tape measure
- Hammer
- Mesh (approximately 3 mtrs)
Paso a paso:
- Procedí a tomar las medidas de mi reja para posteriormente plasmarla en cada uno de mis listones, en total ocupe cuatro listones, dos de 0,85cm y dos de 0,40cm
- Una vez cortados los listones a la medida deseada empecé a presentarlos en la reja para saber en que lugar les haría los huecos, tanto a ellos como al marco de la reja, estos los pude hacer con una mecha finita con mi taladro.
- Buscando y buscando entre mis cosas pude encontrar algunos tornillos, que aunque todos eran distintos entre ellos igual me sirvieron para el objetivo
- Tome la malla contra la reja y poco a poco fui poniéndole los tornillos con la ayuda de mi destornillador.
- Como no me gustaba como se veía la malla en la parte de abajo decidí colocarle un trozo de madera más ancha y así quedo mejor protegido y un poco más prolija.
Step by step:
- I proceeded to take the measurements of my grille to later shape it in each of my slats, in total I used four slats, two of 0.85cm and two of 0.40cm.
- Once the slats were cut to the desired size I began to present them in the grille to know where I would make the holes, both to them and to the frame of the grille, these I could do with a thin bit with my drill.
- Searching and searching among my things I could find some screws, that although they were all different from each other, they were still useful for the objective.
- I took the mesh against the fence and little by little I was putting the screws with the help of my screwdriver.
- As I didn't like the way the mesh looked at the bottom I decided to put a wider piece of wood on it, so it was better protected and a little neater.
La verdad quede contenta con el resultado y lo principal ya mis peludos estarán más seguros y de igual manera podrán seguir chismoseando a todo el que pase, jajajaja es una actividad que les encanta, ya solo me faltaría la reja del fondo y la de la ventana de la sala.
The truth is that I was happy with the result and the main thing is that my furry friends will be safer and they will be able to continue gossiping to everyone who passes by, hahahaha is an activity that they love, and I only need the fence at the back and the window of the living room.
