Colorful Snails

Materials:

Pipe cleaner
Eyes
Pencil or pencil
Silicone gun

Caracoles de Colores

Materiales:

Limpia pipas

Lapicero o lápiz

Execution

We will take one of the pipe cleaners and fold it in a spiral shape three times, trying to make it round enough, repeat the procedure with another pipe cleaner to obtain two circles.

Tomaremos uno de los limpia pipas y lo doblaremos en forma de espiral tres veces, tratando de que quede lo suficientemente redonda, repetimos el procedimiento con otro limpia pipas para así obtener dos circunferencias.

Then you are going to twist the pipe cleaners, one on top of the other to make the shape of a simple string.

Luego vas a entorchar los limpia pipas, uno por encima del otro hasta hacer la forma de un cordón simple.

Now you are going to take another pipe cleaner (preferably of a different color), and you are going to roll it in a spiral shape in the pencil or pencil you have. Once all the pipe cleaner is rolled up in the pencil you proceed to take it out and then put it inside the simple knot that you had already made before, pushing it gently until the spiral reaches the height you want the body of the snail to be.

Ahora vas a coger otro limpia pipas (preferiblemente de otro color), y lo vas a enrollar en forma de espiral en el lapicero o lápiz que tengas. Una vez todo el limpia pipas esté enrollado en el lapicero procedes a sacarlo para entonces meterlo dentro del nudo simple que ya habías hecho anteriormente, empujándolo suavemente hasta que el espiral llegue a la altura que deseas que sea el cuerpo del caracol.

Afterwards, the free end of the simple chord that we made, we are going to wind it in a spiral shape until we pass the spiral that forms the body of the snail.

Después, la punta que nos queda libre del cordón simple que armamos vamos a irla enrollando en forma de espiral hasta pasar el espiral que conforma el cuerpo del caracol.

Important: if the material of your pipe cleaner is very soft, you can reinforce the armor of your snail with a few small dots of hot silicone so that it can stick properly.

Importante: si el material de tus limpia pipas es muy suave, puedes reforzar la armadura de tu caracol con unos pequeños puntos de silicón caliente para que pueda pegar de manera adecuada.

We proceed to glue the eyes to the first spirals we made, placing their respective eyes on each one with the help of a drop of hot silicone. This way you already have a little snail. Although in the same way you can make the desired color combinations, for example I made a companion for our snail, but with more flashy colors

Procedemos a pegar los ojos en las primeras espirales que hicimos, colocando su respectivo ojo en cada una con ayuda de una gota de silicón caliente. De esta manera ya tienes un pequeño caracol. Aunque de igual manera puedes hacer las combinaciones de colores deseadas, que por ejemplo yo le hice un compañero a nuestro caracol, pero con colores más llamativos.

At the end you can place them where you want, I for example, decided to place them in a bush that is in the entrance of our house, so that all can see and admire them.
