Hola chicos, hoy quiero compartir la alegría de mi primera incursión en el mundo del bonsái... ¡con un toque creativo! Lo hice hace unos meses y no se los había mostrado.
Hi guys, today I want to share the joy of my first foray into the world of bonsai.... with a creative touch! I did it a few months ago and hadn't shown it to you.
Nunca imaginé que trabajar con alambres y canutillos podría ser tan emocionante. La idea surgió gracias a una tarde explorando Pinterest, donde me topé con éste diseño y me dije: "¡Tengo que intentarlo!". Me pareció una forma original y encantadora de tener un detalle decorativo único, detalle era que no decía cómo hacerlo 🙈.
I never imagined that working with wires and beads could be so exciting. The idea came about thanks to an afternoon exploring Pinterest, where I stumbled upon this design and said to myself, “I have to try this!”. It seemed like an original and lovely way to have a unique decorative detail, detail was that it didn't say how to do it 🙈.
Confieso que al principio estaba un poco insegura. Era algo completamente nuevo para mí. Doblar los alambres para simular las ramas, insertar los canutillos como si fueran pequeñas hojas... ¡fue todo un desafío! Cometí algunos errores, claro, no quedó exactamente como lo imaginaba.
I confess that at first I was a little unsure. It was something completely new to me. Bending the wires to simulate the branches, inserting the beads as if they were small leaves... it was a challenge! it was quite a challenge! I made a few mistakes, of course, it didn't turn out exactly as I imagined.

Alambre de cobre (lo puedes sacar de algún cable viejo).
Copper wire (you can pull it out of some old wire).
Canutillos blancos y negros.
Black and white beads.
Cinta adhesiva de papel.
Paper tape.
Pintura blanca y negra.
Black and white paint.
Anime o esponja.
Anime or sponge.
Maceta
Flowerpot.

Encontré éste diagrama que me sirvió de referencia para realizar las ramas. Hice de diferentes tamaños.
I found this diagram that I used as a reference to make the branches. I made different sizes.
Coloqué 8 canutillos en el alambre. Los primeros me sirvieron para doblar a la mitad el alambre y realizar la primera hoja trenzando el alambre. Luego fui insertando en cada extremo los 8 canutillos y trenzando el alambre hasta culminar la rama.
I placed 8 beads on the wire. The first ones were used to bend the wire in half and make the first leaf by braiding the wire. Then, I inserted the 8 canutillos at each end and braided the wire until the branch was completed.
El alambre restante lo cubrí con cinta adhesiva e hice la forma de un corazón.
I covered the remaining wire with tape and made the shape of a heart.
Pinté cada lado del corazón con pintura negra y blanca respectivamente.
I painted each side of the heart with black and white paint respectively.
Enrosque cada rama en el corazón, según el color pintado en cada mitad.
Twist each branch into the heart, according to the color painted on each half.
Una vez enroscadas las ramas pinté los alambres, previendo que se le podía caer la pintura. (Terminé usando esmalte de uñas blanco y negro). Dejé secar.
Once the branches were twisted I painted the wires, foreseeing that the paint could fall off (I ended up using black and white nail polish). I let it dry.
Colocar anime o esponja en la maceta como base para insertar el tallo del bonsai. Yo utilicé una esponja de las que traen los televisores como protección y una vez que coloqué el bonsai en la maceta procedí a darle forma a las ramas.
Place anime or sponge in the pot as a base to insert the bonsai stem. I used a sponge like the ones that come with TV sets as protection and once I placed the bonsai in the pot I proceeded to shape the branches.
A medida que iba avanzando me invadían muchas dudas. No veía cómo tomaría forma este pequeño árbol "artificial", pero no me rendí. Cada alambre doblado, cada canutillo colocado, era un paso hacia mi pequeña obra de arte.
As I went along, I was filled with doubts. I didn't see how this little “artificial” tree would take shape, but I didn't give up. Each wire bent, each bead placed, was a step towards my little work of art.
Y ahora, al verlo terminado, a pesar de las imperfecciones, ¡me siento muy conforme con el resultado! Tiene su encanto particular, una belleza hecha a mano que me llena de orgullo. Esta experiencia me demostró que a veces, salir de nuestra zona de confort y probar cosas nuevas, especialmente si están inspiradas en ideas creativas que encontramos en línea, puede traer consigo una gran alegría y resultados inesperados. ¡Definitivamente no será el último bonsái que cree con esta técnica!
And now, seeing it finished, despite the imperfections, I am very happy with the result! It has a particular charm, a handmade beauty that fills me with pride. This experience showed me that sometimes, stepping out of our comfort zone and trying new things, especially if they are inspired by creative ideas we find online, can bring great joy and unexpected results. It definitely won't be the last bonsai I create with this technique!
