Greetings! It is a pleasure to share with you another of my experiences in a fair that took place recently in my city.
Certainly these fairs brighten up the atmosphere and allow me to give another view of the city and get out of the routine. It is something that is done every year and of course it is very enjoyable. Normally in this fair there are usually exhibitions of dances, singing, crafts and art.
On this occasion, as soon as I crossed the entrance gate I found an exhibition of traditional dance, combined with ballet. An interesting combination that attracts a lot of attention, besides the fact that dance is a form of art as well.

Saludos! Un gusto poder compartir con ustedes otra de mis experiencias en una feria que se hizo hace poco en mi ciudad.
Ciertamente estas ferias alegran mucho el ambiente y permiten dar otra vista de la ciudad y salir un poco de la rutina. Es algo que se hace cada año y claro que se disfruta mucho. Normalmente en esta feria suelen haber exhibiciones de bailes, canto, artesanía y arte.
En esta ocasión, apenas al cruzar la puerta de entrada me encontré con una exhibición de danza tradicional, combinado con ballet. Una combinación interesante y que llama mucho la atención, además de que el baile es una forma de arte también.
It was a nice welcome, and it also served to boost my spirits for all that I would see at the fair, which would be very interesting.
I, for my part, walked for a while through many of the handicraft exhibits. There were many booths, but not all of them were of this niche; on the contrary, there were many vendors of candy, toys, clothes and spare parts, but very few of art and crafts.
Nevertheless, I came across a few, one of the most striking, at least for me, being a stall of hats and other woven handicrafts. I really like this kind of crafts, they have a cool charm and are really pretty, plus they look good for any occasion. I bought myself a hat, as I said in a post I did recently on my blog.
Fue una grata bienvenida, además de que sirvió para incentivar los ánimos para todo lo que vería en la feria, que sería por demás interesante.
Yo por mi parte caminé un rato por muchas de las exhibiciones de artesanía. Había muchos puestos, pero no todos eran de este nicho; por el contrario, había mucho vendedor de dulce, juguetes, ropa y repuestos, pero de arte y artesanía muy pocos.
A pesar de todo me encontré unos cuantos, siendo uno de los más llamativos, al menos para mi, un puesto de sombreros y otras artesanías tejidas. Este tipo de artesanía me gusta mucho, tiene un encanto genial y son realmente bonitas, además de que lucen bien para cualquier ocasión. Yo me compré un sombrero, como bien dije en un post que hice hace poco en mi blog.
Although the hats were the main thing on display at the fair, this stand did have more things to exhibit, such as woven bags, cloth bags, scarves with the Venezuelan tricolor and even purses and baskets woven from the same material as the hats.
Aunque los sombreros eran lo principal que había en la feria, sí tenía más cosas que exhibir este puesto, como bolsos tejidos, de tela, bufandas con el tricolor de Venezuela y hasta monederos y cestas tejidas del mismo material que los sombreros.
Something I really liked when I saw it, was an entirely knitting stall. In this place there were many knitted chickens, yes, chickens. I found it curious and charming, because I raise chickens at home and I am delighted to have found this kind of work in this exhibition of traditional crafts.
Algo que me gustó mucho cuando lo vi, fue un puesto enteramente de tejido. En este lugar había muchas gallinas tejidas, sí, gallinas. Me pareció curioso y encantador, porque yo en mi casa crío gallinas y me encanta haber encontrado este tipo de trabajos en esta exhibición de artesanía tradicional.
On the other hand, I found another stand where they made exclusively leather sandals, these looked really resistant and were cooked on the bottom, plus they had many engravings and symbolism that the author knew how to capture in each sandal he made.
Por otra parte, encontré otro puesto en donde hacían exclusivamente sandalias de cuero, estas se veían realmente resistentes y estaban cocidas por la parte de abajo, además de que tenían muchos grabados y simbolismos que el autor supo plasmar en cada sandalia que hizo.
Each and every one of these crafts certainly looked great, plus it is a sample of the quality of artisans that are here in my town.

Que bonitas artesanias, en cada una de ellas se ve que hay experiencia, unas artesanias muy bien realizadas, espero que las personas vean el esfuerzo que hay detras de cada trabajo, compren sin regatear ya que esta es una tecnica que suelen usar mucho desmejorando la vida de los artesanos que quieren vivir de su arte, muy bonitas las fotos que nos traes, saludos-
Si, a veces para los artesanos es difícil porque realmente le dan mucho empeño a su arte pero no siempre es bien valorado, a veces cuesta mucho vender una obra al precio que realmente vale.
Es muy lindo todo lo que nos regalas de manera constante de tu pueblito, me alegro mucho que puedas disfrutar de este tipo de cosas y sobre todo que prevalezca el arte.

Este tipo de exposiciones son muy importantes porque ayudan a destacar el arte y la cultura en los diversos espacios culturales de la región, dando un enfoque más tradicional a la artesanía de los cultores locales.
