Greetings friends. Having a collection of Pokémon figurines was one of my dreams as a child. Unfortunately I couldn't, but today as an adult, I'm putting together a small collection of the first 150, the generation 1 ones.
I have already made several characters, the last one being a Poliwag.

Today I'd like to share another Pokémon, one that is not so well known but charming, the Almighty Venonat.

Saludos amigos. Tener una colección de figuritas de Pokémon fue uno de mis sueños de niño. Lamentablemente no pude, pero hoy de adulto, estoy armando una pequeña colección de los 150 primeros, los de generación 1.

Step by step
Venonat's shape is very simple, it's like a little ball of hair with fly eyes and antennae. If evolution is Venomoth, but he is not the main character, the main character is Venonat.
How did I make this nice figurine? Well, just like the previous ones, with plasticine, wire, glue and patience.

La forma de Venonat es muy sencilla, es como una bolita de pelos con ojos de mosca y antenas. Si evolución es Venomoth, pero él no es el protagonista, el protagonista es Venonat.
¿Cómo hice está simpática figurita? Pues tal cómo las anteriores, con plastilina, alambre, pegamento y paciencia.
To explain it simply, the basic shape of this figurine is that of a strawberry with the tip facing down.
Para explicarlos de manera sencilla, la forma básica de esta figurita es la de una fresa con la punta hacia abajo.
Because of its simple shape it is easy to achieve, so the next thing to do is to take a small wooden stick and make numerous lines along the body, with all the lines following the pattern downwards.
Por si forma tan sencilla es fácil lograrla, así que lo siguiente es tomar un pequeño palillo de madera y hacer numerosas líneas a lo largo del cuerpo, con todas las líneas siguiendo el patrón hacia abajo.
A characteristic of Venonat are the tufts of hair he has, as if they were pints.
On the top of his head he has a pair of spikes that spring upwards in a V-shape.
Una característica de Venonat son los mechones de cabello que tiene, como si fuesen pintas.
En la parte superior de la cabeza tiene un par de puntas que saltan hacia arriba en forma de V.
I think that this Venonat is like those worms with hair, with the difference that this is not a worm but a less long creature but with the same hairs that have this kind of hairy worms.
Well, after having the basic shape of the body, continue working on the face which is something you have to do very well to achieve the shape of the face of such a cute Pokémon.
The mouth is very simple, a rounded shape with two little fangs on the sides, these vaz in the center of the middle area of the body. The eyes, on the other hand, are a little higher than the mouth and are two semi-spheres with the upper part smaller than the lower one. The face can be seen in the image below.
Pienso que este Venonat es como esos gusanos con pelos, con la diferencia de que esté no es un gusano sino una criatura menos larga pero con los mismos pelos que tienen este tipo de gusanos peludos.
Pues bien, después de tener la forma básica del cuerpo, continúe trabajando en la cara que es algo que hay que hacer muy bien para lograr la forma de la cara de tan tierno Pokémon.
La boca es muy sencilla, una forma redondeada con dos colmillitos a los lados, estos vaz en el centro del área media del cuerpo. Los ojos, por otra parte, van un poco mas arriba de la boca y son dos semi esferas con la parte superior más pequeña que la inferior. La cara pueden verla en la imagen de abajo.
The little hands are also an important element of this front part of the character.
The way to make them, or at least the way I made them, was to create a small flattened circle, then I cut it in half and each half I cut the shape of the little fingers, so that there will be only three fingers left on each hand.
Las manitos son un elemento también importante de esta parte frontal del personaje.
La forma de hacerlos, o al menos la manera en que yo los hice, fue crear un pequeño círculo aplastado, luego lo corté a la mitad y a cada mitad le corté la forma de los deditos, de manera tal que quedarán solo tres dedos en cada mano.
The paws are big, in fact both the little hands and the legs are the elements that least fit the shape and type of the Pokémon, since it's insect/venom type and these paws and little hands look like a mammal, but anyway....
For the feet I used two small pieces of wire that I folded in L shape, the lower part I covered with plasticine of the same color of the little hands and I molded it in an elongated form, being the front part wider than the back part, the one of the heel. In the front part I made a vertical line in the middle to make the division of the paws, where there are two little fingers.
Las patitas son grandes, de hecho tanto las manitos como las patas son los elementos que menos cuadran en la forma y el tipo del Pokémon, ya que es tipo insecto/veneno y estás patitas y manitos parecen de un mamífero, pero en fin...
Para los pies usé dos trocitos de alambre que doblé en forma de L, la parte inferior la cubrí con plastilina del mismo color de las manitos y la moldeé de forma alargada, siendo la parte delantera mas ancha que la parte trasera, la del talón. En est aparte delantera hice una línea vertical en medio para hacer la división de las patas, dónde hay dos deditos.
I glued them to the body using the two small pieces of wire and some glue.
Esto los pegué al cuerpo valiéndome de los dos trocitos de alambre y un poco de pegamento.
For the antennae I did something similar, two small pieces of long wire, which I covered with light-colored plasticine, a very, very light violet.
Para las antenas hice algo similar, dos trocitos de alambre largos, los cuales cubrí con plastilina de color claro, un violeta muy pero muy claro.
These two antennas I glued them on the head using, again, wire and a little glue.
Estas dos antenistas las pegué en no la cabeza valiéndome, nuevamente, del alambre y un poco de pegamento.
Finally I worked on the eyes. These are of different shades; a light one at the top, an intermediate one and the base in red. I made all these shades with plasticine, they are as you can see in the image below:
Finalmente trabajé en los ojos. Estos son de distintas tonalidades; una clara que está en la parte superior, una Intermedia y la base de color rojo. Todas estas tonalidades las hice con plastilina, quedaron tal cómo pueden ver en la imagen de abajo:
In this way, when everything dried, the figurine was finished. Below you can see a series of photographs of the final result:

WOW ese venonat te quedo super estaba viendo post y me tope con un fanatico pokemon la primera generacion es una de mis favoritas y ver tu trabajo tan excelente es muy gratificante sigue asi.

Por mi casa se esta yendo muchas veces la luz y tenia pensado empezar a dibujar los pokemones de primera generación también. Hace años que no dibujo pero lo hacia muy bien. Saludos y espero ver mas de esto.
Si ya tienes las ganas de dibujar, solo te falta poner manos a la obra, seguro te quedan geniales. Quizás si compras un cuaderno pequeño, podrías dibujas los 150 en un solo cuaderno, un Pokémon por página.
