Un gustazo poder saludarles este último viernes del año 2023 ha ido un año de grandes creaciones, y con la creatividad en su mayor esplendor, es por eso que me animo a compartirles una faceta que he estado descubriendo de mí y es el amor a las costuras.
Debo confesar que me gusta la confección, pero me daba aún un poco de miedo jajaja mi madre es costurera y sabe lo que hace, sin embargo, ha sido muy poco el tiempo que he tenido para aprender de su mano y ahora que está fuera del país me hacen falta sus consejos y enseñanzas, pero eso no es un motivo para no hacer las cosas.
Por ello me animé a realizar este bonito leggins de niña para mi hija fue todo un reto porque la tela que elegí es un poco delicada y debía ser precisa al momento de hacerla no había espacio para el error, aparte de que este sería un componente para una actividad que tenía mi hija y bueno debía quedar bien sí o sí.

I must confess that I like sewing, but I was still a little scared hahaha my mother is a seamstress and knows what she does, however, it has been very little time I have had to learn from her hand and now that she is out of the country I need her advice and teachings, but that is not a reason not to do things.
That's why I decided to make this beautiful leggings for my daughter, it was a challenge because the fabric I chose is a bit delicate. The fabric I chose is a little delicate and I had to be precise at the time of making it, there was no room for error, besides this would be a component for an activity that my daughter had and well it had to look good yes or yes.

¡Ok!, luego de tener una larga videollamada con mi mamá, lo primero que hice fue tomar las medidas de mi hija, y pase esas medidas a una hoja para sacar el patrón, ya que no soy experta como para ir a marcarlo directamente a la tela.
Saque mi patrón, doble la tela y coloque mi patrón, marque y listo, ya ahora me prepare para cortar la tela, allí si tenía un poco de ansiedad, me daba un poco de miedito jajaja. Luego de cortar todos los lados de mi leggins, es decir, la parte delante y la trasera, corte también un pedazo de la tela que sería la pretina del leggins, ya que no lo hice con elástica.
Ok!, after having a long video call with my mom, the first thing I did was to take the measurements of my daughter, and pass those measurements to a sheet of paper to draw the pattern, since I am not an expert to mark it directly to the fabric.
I took out my pattern, folded the fabric and placed my pattern, marked and ready, now I was ready to cut the fabric, there if I had a little anxiety, I was a little scared hahaha. After cutting all the sides of my leggings, that is, the front and the back, I also cut a piece of fabric that would be the waistband of the leggings, since I didn't make it with elastic.
Ahora con mucho cuidado enfrentamos los lados para pasar la costura, ir dándole forma a este bonito leggins, primero pase una costura recta, luego por los bordes le pase una costura en forma de zigzag.
Fui dándole forma al leggins mi mamá me ayudó mucho porque me sentí un poco desorientada al momento del armado y se supone que eso era lo más fácil, porque cuando llego el momento de armar la pretina ahhhh bueno tuve que desarmar dos veces jajajaja
Así que el paso que me funciono fue el siguiente, una vez que tenía la pretina, junte los dos extremos y le pase una costura recta, luego agarre el leggins y fui bordeando todo el contorno con la pretina, yo fui basteando para que se me hiciera más práctico y que quedara bien distribuido la tela de la pretina porque si no lo hacemos bien corremos el riesgo de que queden más tela de un lado que del otro y se verá muy muy feo.

I was giving shape to the leggins my mom helped me a lot because I felt a little disoriented at the time of assembly and that was supposed to be the easiest, because when it came time to assemble the waistband ahhhh well I had to disassemble twice hahahaha.
So the step that worked for me was the following, once I had the waistband, join the two ends together and sew a straight seam, then I grabbed the leggings and bordered the whole contour with the waistband, I was basteing so that it would be more practical and that the waistband fabric would be well distributed because if we don't do it right we run the risk of having more fabric on one side than the other and it will look very very ugly.
Una vez todo listo, le pasé costura recta por toda la pretina una vez ya definida.
Y este fue el resultado.
Me gustó mucho, se le ve demasiado lindo a mi niña, y estoy orgullosa de esta primera pieza que confecciono desde 0.

Muchas felicidades por tu primera pieza confeccionada desde 0. Esto, aunque no lo parezca, a veces es bastante terrorífico. Nos enfrentamos a que si dañamos la tela, o que si ya no podremos realizar dicha pieza para esa persona en el momento, pero lo importante de cuando transitamos un camino nuevo, es tomarlo con cautela. Es excelente el resultado que has logrado, de seguro tu mami estará orgullosa. Bendiciones

Estaba ansiosa realmente porque me daba temor dañar la tela por eso me asegure de comprar más de la cuenta 😜 pero una vez ya me enfrente a este reto como que me quedo el gustico de seguir cociendo jajaja 🤣 lo importante es dar el primer paso.
