DIY - Glycerin soaps

in Hive Diy2 days ago

Greetings to all creatives!

In addition to my main job, I am a teacher, my hobby is making glycerine soaps, decorative candles, jewelry from epoxy resin, bracelets and plaster figures.
Today I will show you how I make glycerin soaps.
I use a white and transparent base to make soap.
The 1st step is to prepare the molds, colors and scents I want to use.
First, I make small soaps from the white base.

The 1st step is to prepare the molds, colors and scents I want to use.
First, I make small soaps from the white base.
The procedure is as follows:
The white base melts with steam, so I pour water into a larger container and put a smaller one in it.
I cut the glycerin into smaller pieces and put it in a bowl to melt.
Then I pour the powdered mica color and essential oil or perfume scents. When pouring the powdered color, the mixture should be well mixed so that no lumps remain. Pour into molds and immediately spray with alcohol, so that bubbles or holes do not form in the soap.
When it hardens, remove all the soaps from the mold and let them stand for 2-3 days.
It is very important that I buy glycerin and other materials from a pharmaceutical company, where everything is checked.

Step 2 is similar, except now I prepare large molds and clear glycerin.
The process of melting and adding little by little color is the same as in the previous step.

I thin small soaps into large ones, and glitter, stars, small toys can also be added if desired, because glycerin "tolerates" up to 10 percent of other ingredients.

Then I fill the molds with the melted transparent base and, of course, spray with alcohol.

And here's what they look like when they're cooled and taken out of the mold.

The finished soaps also stand for 3.4 days and then I pack them in boxes.
