Hola amigos de la comunidad de Hive Diy. En esta oportunidad les mostraré un tutorial sobre cómo hacer un centro de mesa con relieve, inspirado en Flow, una de mis películas favoritas, que está por ganar el óscar o al menos es una de mis favoritas para ese galardón. Me gustan los animales y hacer un adorno como este alimenta mucho mi creatividad. Para realizar este diseño, me inspiré esta imagen en Pinterest, sin embargo, los detalles y simbologías fueron ideados por mí.

Materiales
Para realizar este cuadro con relieve utilicé los siguientes materiales:
- Lápiz
- Goma de borrar
- Pieza de tronco de madera del tamaño deseado.
- Cartón de huevos.
- Recipiente.
- Agua.
- Colador.
- Pega blanca.
- Pinturas al frío, de los colores de tu preferencia.
- Pinceles de diferentes tamaños.
Instrucciones:
Preparamos la pasta que utilizaremos para diseñar nuestro adorno. Para ello rompemos el cartón de huevo en trozos pequeños y los colocamos en un recipiente hondo. Cubre los trozos de cartón con agua y déjalos remojar durante al menos 2 horas, o hasta que se ablanden por completo. Tritura los trozos de cartón remojados con una licuadora hasta obtener una pasta homogénea. Agrega un poco más de agua para facilitar el proceso (si es necesario). Pasamos la pasta previamente triturada por el colador, y así retiramos el exceso de agua.

Tomamos la tabla de madera y creamos el diseño que usted desee, puedes ser un paisaje, animales, formas abstractas o cualquier cosa que te guste. En esta ocasión realizaré a un gatito inspirado en la película Flow. Dibujamos el boceto en la tabla de madera. Si no eres bueno dibujando, puedes imprimir la imagen de tu preferencia y usarla como una guía.

Agarramos la pasta de cartón de huevo y le echamos pegamento blanco, y con nuestros dedos mezclamos hasta obtener una pasta. Con un pincel o tus dedos aplicamos la pasta de cartón de huevo sobre la tabla de madera siguiendo el diseño sobre la tabla de madera. Decidí crear diferentes grosores y texturas para lograr el efecto de relieve deseado, para así darle volumen a las partes que deseamos resaltar; en este caso los árboles, el gato y el barco.

Dejamos secar la pasta completamente por 24 horas. Te recomiendo poner la tabla al sol para que seque más rápido; durante la noche colocarlo en un sitio que no esté húmedo o con temperatura ambiente. Una vez ya seca la pasta, tomamos nuestras pinturas y pinceles. Con el color blanco hacemos una capa de pintura hasta cubrir toda la superficie.

Ahora utilizamos pinturas de los colores que hayamos elegido, y pintamos siguiendo el diseño, aplicamos varias capas para lograr una buena cobertura. Deja secar la pintura por completo. Si deseas darle un acabado brillante y proteger tu cuadro, aplicamos una capa de pega blanca con la ayuda de un pincel y dejamos secar. Ten en cuenta que es el paso más importante, por lo que te recomiendo iniciar con las partes más oscuras, es decir, las que tienen más profundidad. Luego agregamos los colores claros hasta difuminar el diseño para obtener un degradado.
Yo inicié pintando el paisaje de fondo siguiendo esta recomendación que te doy; al final culminé pintando al gatito.

Y de esta manera obtendrás un hermoso centro de mesa inspirado en la película Flow; si te gustan los gatos y eres amante de esta película, no dudes en hacer este adorno, pues se realiza con materiales sencillos. En caso de que no cuenten con una tabla de madera, puedes hacer el diseño en un cuadro (rehusado) o crear una base con cartón. No hay excusas cuando se trata de creatividad. En mi caso particular, me encantó el resultado. Me despido esperando que a ustedes ta,bién les guste y se animen a hacerlo.

Hello, friends of the Hive DIY community. This time I will show you a tutorial on how to make a relief centerpiece, inspired by Flow, one of my favorite movies, which is about to win the Oscar or at least is one of my favorites for that award. I like animals, and making an ornament like this greatly feeds my creativity. To make this design, I was inspired by this image on Pinterest, however, the details and symbols were devised by me.
I hope you like it.
Materials
To make this relief painting I used the following materials:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Piece of wood trunk of the desired size.
- Egg carton.
- Container.
- Water.
- Strainer.
- White glue.
- Cold paints, in the colors of your preference.
- Paintbrushes of different sizes.
Instructions:
Prepare the paste that you will use to design your ornament. To do this, break the egg carton into small pieces and place them in a deep container. Cover the pieces of cardboard with water and let them soak for at least 2 hours, or until they soften completely. Grind the soaked cardboard pieces with a blender until you obtain a smooth paste. Add a little more water to facilitate the process (if necessary). Pass the previously ground paste through the strainer, thus removing the excess water.

We take the wooden board and create the design you want, it can be a landscape, animals, abstract shapes, or anything you like. This time I will make a kitten inspired by the movie Flow. We sketch on the wooden board. If you are not good at drawing, you can print the image of your choice and use it as a guide.

We took the egg carton paste, poured white glue on it, and mixed it with our fingers until we obtained a paste. With a brush or your fingers, we applied the egg carton paste on the wooden board following the design on the wooden board. I decided to create different thicknesses and textures to achieve the desired relief effect, and to give volume to the parts we wanted to highlight; in this case the trees, the cat, and the boat.

We let the paste dry completely for 24 hours. I recommend putting the board in the sun so that it dries faster; during the night, place it in a place that is not humid or at room temperature. Once the paste has dried, we take our paints and brushes. With the white color we make a layer of paint until the entire surface is covered.

Now we use paints of the colors we have chosen, and we paint following the design, we apply several layers to achieve good coverage. Let the paint dry completely. If you want to give it a glossy finish and protect your painting, we apply a layer of white glue with the help of a brush and let it dry. Keep in mind that this is the most important step, so I recommend you start with the darkest parts, that is, those with more depth. Then we add the light colors until the design is blurred to obtain a gradient.
I started by painting the background landscape following this recommendation that I gave you; in the end, I finished by painting the kitten.

And this way you will get a beautiful centerpiece inspired by the movie Flow; if you like cats and you are a fan of this movie, do not hesitate to make this ornament, because it is made with simple materials. In case you do not have a wooden board, you can make the design on a (reused) frame or create a base with cardboard. There are no excuses when it comes to creativity. In my particular case, I loved the result. I say goodbye hoping that you also like it and are encouraged to do it.
