Today I have the pleasure of inviting you to an art exhibition called "Magic Hands" at the Azagaya gallery, located in the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba 🇨🇺. It will be dedicated to the little ones at home. I hope you like the works and each of you enjoys these artistic designs.

Hola comunidad, familia y amantes del arte en @hivediy Saludos
Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a una exposición de arte denominada "Manos Mágicas" en la galería Azagaya ubicada en la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC) de Ciego de Ávila, Cuba 🇨🇺. Estará dedicada a los más pequeños de la casa. Espero les gusten las obras y disfruten cada uno de esto diseños artísticos.

On the way to the exhibition, let me tell you that the Azagaya gallery is located in the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC), a public space for young creators and artists from Ciego de Ávila. It features a lounge to unwind from the daily routine in the company of family, friends, or your partner, and enjoy some drinks with appetizers.
It's a venue that, in addition to hosting exhibitions, also holds various cultural activities in the evening where you can enjoy good, danceable traditional music.
De camino a la exhibición de arte les comentaré que la galería Azagaya está ubicada en la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC), espacio público para jóvenes creadores y artistas de nacionalidad avileña. Presenta un salón para relajarse del día a día en compañía de familia, amigos o pareja y tomar algunos tragos con entrantes.
Es un local que además de presentar exposiciones, pues en la noche también se desarrollan varias actividades culturales y se disfruta de la buena música tradicional bailable.
To begin this "Magic Hands" exhibition, I'll tell you that it features a collective section bringing together works of wood carving, paper recycling (papier-mâché), canvases, weavings, as well as textile and leather art.
Within it, you can appreciate beautiful artisan works that demonstrate the definite vocation and dedication of the creators. Furthermore, their skills showcase excellent technical execution, where each participating artist displays their creative virtuosity.
Para comenzar esta exposición "Manos Mágicas", les comentaré que muestra una sección colectiva que reúne obras de talla en madera, reciclado del papel (papier-mâché), lienzos, tejidos, así como textil y piel. En la misma se pueden apreciar hermosos trabajos artesanales que demuestran, la definida vocación y entrega de los creadores.
Además sus destrezas de excelente realización en técnica, donde cada artista participante pone de manifiesto su virtuosismo creativo.
Upon entering the room, the children's works on display reflect the talent, vision, and commitment of the artists to creations for the little ones at home.
The pieces below not only catch the eye due to their fine craftsmanship but are also arranged in a way that attracts the visitor. It begins with models of amusement parks 🎪 and boats, which stand out for their aesthetics and the quality of a technique in which the finish plays a major role in their success.
Al entrar a la sala, las obras para niños y niñas exhibidos son un reflejo del talento, la visión y el compromiso de los artistas con las labores para los más pequeños de casa.
Las piezas a continuación, no solo llaman la atención por su fina elaboración, sino que están organizadas de una forma que atrae al visitante, empezando por maquetaría del parque de diversión 🎪 y embarcaciones que sobresalen por su estética y por la calidad de una técnica en la que al acabado corresponde buena parte del éxito.
What I liked the most and what caught my attention in the center of the gallery were the miniature amusement park models: a Ferris wheel, carousels, and airplane rides, which convey the joy of fairs and collective fun spaces for children.
El centro de la galería lo que más me gusto y llaman mi atención son las maquetas de parques de diversiones en miniatura: una rueda de la fortuna, carruseles y juegos mecánicos de avión, que transmiten la alegría de las ferias y los espacios de diversión colectiva para niños.
Among magnificent miniature boats with unique details, there are also papier-mâché sculptures, including various lamps crafted from this material, as well as cars. All of them possess a beauty and vibrancy thanks to their colors and special shapes that light up nightstands in homes.
They are all born from the hands of those creative demiurges, whose imagination draws us into a world of fantasy and dreams.
Entre embarcaciones magníficas en miniatura con detalles únicos, están también las esculturas de papier-mâché, con distintas lámparas elaboradas con este material, además de autos, todas con una hermosura y vivacidad a base de colores y formas especiales que dan luz a las mesitas de noche en los hogares.
Todas nacen de las manos de esos demiurgos creadores, con su imaginación que nos adentra a un mundo de fantasía y sueños.
On the other hand, the exhibition features several machinery pieces that stand out for their careful elaboration and the rigorous assembly of different types of wood.
Very little has been written about artistic marquetry, one of the most beautiful and centuries-old traditions of manual art. Specialized critics have also paid scant attention to it, as well as to other artisan creations, despite it experiencing a full resurgence in the hands of master craftsmen.
Por otra parte en la exhibición se muestran varias maquinarias que se destacan por su elaboración cuidadosa y el riguroso ensamblaje de distintos tipos de maderas.
Muy poco se ha escrito sobre la marquetería artística, una de las más hermosas y centenarias tradiciones del arte manual a la que la crítica especializada también ha prestado escasa atención como al resto de las creaciones artesanales, a pesar de encontrarse en pleno resurgimiento en manos de maestros de la talla.
The following room contains a collection of wooden and metal creations, originating from various mediums and forms of expression. They showcase levels of artistic and artisanal development, featuring everything from childlike figures to a Domino set, graceful utilitarian objects, artistic truths, new realities and fantasies.
La siguiente sala contiene un conjunto de creaciones en madera y metal, provenientes de diversos soportes y manifestaciones, que exponen los niveles de desarrollo artístico-artesanal, en los cuales aparecen figuraciones infantiles, hasta un Dominó, gráciles objetos de utilidad, verdades artísticas, nuevas realidades y fantasías.
On display are the dolls or puppets crafted by the actress and props master Maylin Cabrales Véliz, who is highly recognized in the city for her works and performances in the nation's theaters.
Se presenta los muñecos o títeres confeccionados por la actriz y atrezzista Maylin Cabrales Véliz, muy reconocida en la ciudad por sus obras y ensayos en teatros de la nación.
Finally, the section my mom enjoyed the most was the knitting and crochet techniques. It features characters very well-known in Cuba 🇨🇺, such as Elpidio Valdés, Capitán Plin and Vinagrito, among others like the famous Pink Panther and various little animals; all full of expressiveness and tenderness.
Especially for women, they also presented matching purse and coin purse sets made with knitting and dyeing techniques, where the colors blend into the fabric, creating surprising effects and a unique visibility for the audience.
Por último, la sección que más disfrutó mi mamá son los tejidos y técnicas crochet. Aparecen personajes infantiles muy conocidos en cuba 🇨🇺, como El Pidió Valdez, Capitán Plin y Vinagrito, entre otros como el famoso Pink Panther y varios animalitos; todos llenos de expresividad y ternura.
En especial para las mujeres también presentaban juegos de bolso y monedero con la técnica tejidos y entintados, donde los colores se fusionan en la tela, creando efectos sorprendentes y visibilidad única ante el público.
Overall, the exhibition celebrates the world of childhood through craftsmanship, vibrant colors, and playful forms. Each piece is not only a toy but also an artistic object that connects with memory, imagination, and popular culture. The gallery conveys joy, creativity, and a tribute to childhood as a space for play, fantasy, and learning.
