El fin de semana pasada recibí una noticia maravillosa, una noticia que me pone a brillar, que me pone a danzar y lleva mi creatividad a mil.
Una gran amiga, de esas amigas que admiras y proteges, me envía una foto, y en esa foto luce embarazada, pues si, embarazada, sé de su anhelo por tener bebé y por fin su cuerpo ha abrigado al gran milagro de vida. Quedé impactada y emocionada por saber de este embarazo.
Y cuando un bebé viene en camino, mi imaginación comienza a hacer de las suyas, me entran unas ganas desaforadas por tejer y tejer, por bordar, por salir de compras, entre otros.

A great friend, one of those friends that you admire and protect, sent me a picture, and in that picture she looks pregnant, yes, pregnant, I know of her longing to have a baby and finally her body has sheltered the great miracle of life. I was shocked and excited to hear about this pregnancy.
And when a baby is on the way, my imagination starts to run wild, I feel like knitting and knitting, embroidering, shopping, among others.
Con esta noticia del embarazo, viene la pregunta, cuál será el sexo, mi amiga me dice: "es una beba, es una nena". Me encantan las bebas, las ganas de hacer labores aumenta, tejer para niñas es fascinantes, es tan tierno.
Para comenzar con los regalos para la nueva princesa, hice unas diademas elásticas, a las bebas les quedan muy lindas y las hacen lucir tan coquetas.

To start with the gifts for the new princess, I made some elastic headbands, they look so cute on the babies and make them look so cute.
Materiales
Para hacer estas diademas busqué dentro de mis materiales elásticas para diademas. También usé tijeras, hilos, aguja y apliques tejidos.

To make these headbands I looked in my elastic materials for headbands. I also used scissors, thread, needle and woven appliques.
Acostumbro a tejer apliques con los hilos que van sobrando de los proyectos; y es el momento de sacar alguno de esos apliques que combinen con las dos diademas.
I use to knit appliqués with the leftover yarns from the projects; and it's time to get some of those appliqués to match the two headbands.
Pasos
Lo primero que hice fue cortar la elástica con una medida de 35 centímetros, que es la medida aproximada del diámetro de la cabeza de un recién nacido. Luego cosí las dos puntas, de tal forma armar la diadema. Luego fijar el aplique seleccionado sobre la diadema, dicho aplique colocarlo sobre la unión.
Steps
The first thing I did was to cut the elastic with a measure of 35 centimeters, which is the approximate measure of the diameter of a newborn's head. Then I sewed the two ends together to make the headband. Then fix the selected applique on the headband, and place it on the union.
Seguidamente repetir los pasos en la otra elástica. Acá coloqué un aplique muy tierno, un lindo corazoncito rosado. Cuento las horas de ver cómo le va quedar a la beba esta diadema.
Then repeat the steps on the other elastic. Here I placed a very cute applique, a pretty pink heart. I can't wait to see how this headband will look on the baby.
Estas diademas son muy practicas, no le molestan a las bebés al momento de usarlas. Son fáciles de colocar, lo cual es muy bueno para las mamás.
These headbands are very practical, they don't bother babies when wearing them. They are easy to put on, which is great for moms.
