Aunque sé que iba en contra de las indicaciones médicas, me dije trabajaré sin esforzarme, así que decidí hacer un mandala. Un mandala, se trata simplemente de dibujar un círculo y luego dibujar lo que nuestro corazón vaya sintiendo, este actividad es una especie de meditación que lleva a la calma.
Como hubo cambio de proyecto, me organicé sacando lo que necesitaba para hacer este marcalibro.

Although I know it was against medical indications, I told myself to work without straining myself, so I decided to make a mandala. A mandala is simply to draw a circle and then draw what our heart is feeling, this activity is a kind of meditation that leads to calm.
Como hubo cambio de proyecto, me organicé sacando lo que necesitaba para hacer este marcalibro.
Materiales
Para realizar este colorido y hermoso marcalibro, se requiere un trozo de cartulina, lentejuelas de diversos colores, tijeras, pega blanca y lana del color deseado.
No me gusta mucho trabajar con lentejuelas, ya que el proceso de colocado en la mayoría de bordados, me resulta tedioso y muy repetitivo. Ahora bien, para este marcalibros conseguí una buena forma de colocarlas, usé pegamento blanco, y el resultado ha sido fantástico.
Materials
To make this colorful and beautiful bookmark, you need a piece of cardboard, sequins of different colors, scissors, white glue and wool of the desired color.
I don't really like working with sequins, since I find the process of attaching them in most embroideries tedious and very repetitive. However, for this bookmark I got a good way to place them, I used white glue, and the result has been fantastic.
Como les comenté inicialmente iba a dibujar un mandala, para ello usando un cd realicé el círculo en el centro del trozo de cartulina, este círculo fue la base para el marcalibros.
As I told you initially I was going to draw a mandala, so using a CD I made the circle in the center of the piece of cardboard, this circle was the basis for the bookmark.
A continuación, usando una tapa de un envase de pastillas, realicé tres círculos. En este momento no había cambiado de proyecto, es decir seguía pensando en realizar un mandala, me había imaginado una flor de tres hojas, que la misma simulará a un trébol.
Luego dibujé un tallo y una hoja, cuando dibujé la hoja, allí surgió la idea de cambiar de proyecto, recordé que tenía lentejuelas y unas hojitas muy lindas del mismo material de las lentejuelas.
Next, using a lid from a pill bottle, I made three circles. At this point I had not changed my project, that is, I was still thinking of making a mandala, I had imagined a flower with three leaves, which would simulate a clover.
Then I drew a stem and a leaf, when I drew the leaf, there came the idea of changing the project, I remembered that I had sequins and some very pretty leaves of the same material as the sequins.
Me sentí muy feliz de cambiar el proyecto, mi mano me lo iba agradecer. Los colores de las lentejuelas que seleccioné son muy brillantes y radiantes.
Comencé colocando en el centro un botón. Cada uno de los tres círculos representa un pétalo, en cada círculo pegué cada lentejuela usando pega blanca, tratando de cubrir cada especio en blanco del círculo.
Aún no había pegado las hojitas, las tenía como referencia, me gusta como lucen.
De la misma manera en que rellené el primer pétalo con lentejuelas, lo realicé con los otros dos pétalos. Cada pétalo tiene un color diferente de lentejuelas.
I was very happy to change the project, my hand was going to thank me. The colors of the sequins I selected are very bright and shiny.
I started by placing a button in the center. Each of the three circles represents a petal, in each circle I glued each sequin using white glue, trying to cover each blank space of the circle.
I hadn't glued the leaves yet, I had them as a reference, I like the way they look.
The same way I filled the first petal with sequins, I did the same with the other two petals. Each petal has a different color of sequins.
Luego rellené el tallo con lentejuela marrón. Ahora sí, fijé con pegamento las dos hojitas.
Luego recorté el borde de la flor, este paso se debe hacer cuidadosamente de tal forma no se vea afectada la labor.
Then I filled the stem with brown sequins. Now I glued the two leaves together.
Then I trimmed the edge of the flower, this step must be done carefully so that the work is not affected.
Finalmente, con el fin de que la flor se mantenga en el tiempo, realicé el plastificado de la flor usando papel contact trasnparente.
No podía faltar el hilo en mis creaciones, así que corté tres hebras de lana y las pasé por un hueco que había abierto previamente en el marcalibros, hice un nudo justo en la mitad de las tres hebras de lana para asegurar la lana al marcalibro.
Finally, in order to keep the flower in time, I laminated the flower using transparent contact paper.
I could not miss the thread in my creations, so I cut three strands of wool and passed them through a hole that I had previously opened in the bookmark, I made a knot right in the middle of the three strands of wool to secure the wool to the bookmark.
Proyecto completado!!!
En ocasiones mi mente imagina algo y cuando está a punto de iniciar el desarrollo del proyecto surge otro proyecto, en ese momento me toca decidir si sigo con el que me había planteado inicialmente o desarrollo el proyecto que acaba de surgir. Así es la creatividad se expresa sin césar cuando siempre le doy la bienvenida.
Inclusive la creatividad me protege, conoce mis limitaciones, mis destrezas, mis gustos y mucho más. En este caso, la creatividad sabía que no me haría bien colorear y que necesariamente necesitaba hacer alguna labor manual aún con la limitación física que manejo actualmente, por ello colocó en mi mente hacer este marcalibros para que mi mano no sufriera.
Me encanta el resultado, en esta ocasión el marcalibros que he hecho es para mí, me gusta lo que este marcalibro me transmite, me pone contenta.

Sometimes my mind imagines something and when it is about to start the development of the project another project arises, at that moment I have to decide whether to continue with the one I had originally planned or develop the project that has just arisen. That's how creativity expresses itself without caesar when I always welcome it.
Even creativity protects me, it knows my limitations, my skills, my tastes and much more. In this case, creativity knew that coloring would not be good for me and that I necessarily needed to do some manual labor even with the physical limitation that I currently have, so it put in my mind to make this bookmark so that my hand would not suffer.
I love the result, this time the bookmark I have made is for me, I like what this bookmark transmits to me, it makes me happy.
