Replacing broken tail light

in Hive Diy14 days ago

Hey everyone I hope you've all been doing well and being as creative as ever. A couple days ago my mother got into a small little knock while pulling out of a parking lot and sadly this calls her rear brake light to be damaged.

So as you can see it was sadly broken quite badly and this also cause another small problem the bulb inside the flicker could be protected from the morning moisture and caused the to blow so we needed to replace that as well.

So basically I needed to first take off the back panel in the boot in order to reach the nuts that held the light in place. Are then disconnected the lights and removed the old light housing.

Want to removed it was quite dirty beneath the light so I gave that a good clean before placing the new one in. Sadly the new one didn't come with its own light fittings and bulbs so I had to detach it from the old one and fitted onto the new one.

Once the light fittings were in place I then replace the flickers bulb. Then I took the whole assembly and place it back onto the car and tightened the nuts nicely for the rubber seal to make up proper seal to stop any water from creeping in.

When it was all nice and tight and I was happy with How it looked I then ReConnected the lights and placed the panel back into place.

Thank you guys for reading through my post I do hope that it may help with anyone who may also be replacing a rear tail light. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask in the comments.
