Llevaba un buen tiempo queriendo hacer un portaretrato de este estilo, sin embargo no lo había realizado y ayer me llegó la inspiración... Es que Gane el 2do lugar en un concurso de Mandalas de una hermosa comunidad llamada @holos-lotus! Y decidí que no había mejor manera de celebrarlo que hacerle un portaretrato al dibujo que me trajo está grata experiencia! No contaba con muchos materiales, no obstante, los que tenía eran suficientes para hacer lo que tenia en mente, sigan leyendo y acá se los muestro!

I had been wanting to make a portrait of this style for a while, however I had not done it and yesterday I got the inspiration.... I won 2nd place in a Mandala contest of a beautiful community called @holos-lotus! And I decided that there was no better way to celebrate it than making a portrait of the drawing that brought me this great experience! I didn't have many materials, however, the ones I had were enough to do what I had in mind, read on and here I show them to you!

MATERIALES // MATERIALS

✂️ Carpeta o cartón.

✂️ Ramas secas.

✂️ Silicon en barra.

✂️ Lápiz y regla.

✂️ Pega blanca (para barniz)

✂️ Mecatillo, pabilo, tira, yute, etc.

PASOS // STEPS

Luego de conseguir las ramas secas, tomamos nuestra carpeta o cartón y medimos el tamaño aproximado de la foto que colocaremos en el portaretrato para tener un estimado y así sacaremos el tamaño del marco que haremos. Usamos la regla y lápiz medir y para trazar y posteriormente cortaremos siguiendo esta medida.

Yo corte por la mitad la carpeta, cosa que después que lo hice me arrepentí, 🤭🙈 no era necesario cortarla. Pero ya no había vuelta atrás, así que seguí trabajando. Seguidamente seleccione y medi y corte las ramas que pegaria a lo largo de mi marco.

After getting the dry branches, we take our folder or cardboard and measure the approximate size of the photo that we will place in the picture frame to have an estimate and so we will get the size of the frame that we will make. We use the ruler and pencil to measure and trace and then cut following this measurement.

I cut the folder in half, which I regretted after I did it, 🤭🙈 it wasn't necessary to cut it. But there was no turning back, so I kept working. Next I selected and measured and cut the branches that I would glue along my frame.

Empezamos a pegar nuestras ramas a lo largo y ancho del marco, jugando con la creatividad.
Luego que está listo el marco, presentamos la fotografía para ver qué está bien, y ahora se procede con la tapa que será el soporte de la fotografía. Si yo no fuera cortado la carpeta, no habría tenido necesidad de pegarla, pero... La corte así es que, la pegue solo en la parte posterior y superior, dejando el medio libre para poder introducir la fotografía por allí. Finalmente le coloque con mecatillo lo que sería la argolla para colocarlo a la pared. Y por último con un poco de pega y la ayuda de un pincel, le di varias manos para que tuviera un efecto barnizado. Mi portaretrato está listo, si se desea, se le coloca un soporte por la parte trasera y sirve para colocarlo en cualquier superficie plana. Es cuestión de Creatividad y trabajar con los recursos que cuenten en sus hogares y mejor aún si les es posible, reciclar!

After the frame is ready, we present the photograph to see what is right, and now we proceed with the cover that will be the support of the photograph. If I hadn't cut the folder, I wouldn't have needed to glue it, but.... I cut it, so I glued it only on the back and top, leaving the middle free to be able to insert the photograph through there. Finally, I glued it with a little bit of glue what would be the ring to attach it to the wall. And finally with a little glue and the help of a brush, I gave it several coats to have a varnished effect. My picture frame is ready, if desired, a support is placed on the back and serves to place it on any flat surface. It is a matter of Creativity and work with the resources that you have in your homes and even better if it is possible, recycle!
