Greetings community, I'm back and feeling very cheerful. The festive season has brought me here, and I've decided to make another decoration for my tree, as I think it needs one. I've decided to make a snowman, like the ones I've seen on television, with a body made of snow and arms made of branches.
Its eyes are made from circular objects such as buttons, and its nose is often made from a carrot. A hat is placed on its head... Unfortunately, the one I am going to make will not be made from snow, as this phenomenon does not occur in my country.
However, the materials I will use to build it will try to resemble what we are used to seeing. Snowmen were once used to ward off spirits, a belief that persisted for a long time.
Nowadays, they are associated with winter and represent a cultural icon for Christmas. I am really looking forward to making it, so I suggest you join me in the process.
Materials:
- Frosted black foam.
- Frosted white foam.
- Orange foam.
- Yellow foam.
- Red foam.
- Set square.
- Black plastic ball.
- Liquid silicone.
- Pencil sharpener.
- Damaged disc.
- Graphite pencil.
- Black yarn.
- Yellow construction card.
- Cold paint, white colour.
- Paper napkin.
Procedure:
To make the snowman, I used the reference image from Pixabay. Modifications were made during the process.
On the frosted white foam, mark two circles with a pencil. I used two plastic containers to help me make the head and body. The diameter of the spheres is 3 and 4 centimetres respectively. Cut them out with scissors, see images.

Then I drew the neck on the frosted fuchsia foam, using the circle of the head as my guide, and looking at the reference image, I made the shape of the scarf. Once the drawing was ready, I cut it out and marked it on the foam to cut it out again, see image.

Draw the hat on a white sheet of paper, using the head circle as a guide to make the hat proportional to the snowman, cut it out, and then transfer it to the foam sheet to create the final piece, see image.

I prepared the hat and removed the pattern from the snow that had fallen on the frosty white foam. I also cut out three thin strips, each 3 centimetres wide, in orange, red and yellow to make flowers to decorate the hat. I rolled them up and stuck them on, as shown in the picture.

Now it's time to assemble the snowman. I glue the head and body together with liquid silicone. Once glued, I apply glue to the hat and attach it to the head, as you can see in the picture.

I glued the snow and flowers onto the hat to decorate it, and I took the opportunity to place the fuchsia scarf to adorn its neck.

I stuck his eyes on the snowman's face using a pair of black plastic balls. I made his nose triangular so that it would look like a carrot, using orange foam.
I made the mouth with two centimetres of black jewellery wire and secured it with liquid silicone. The snowman looks happy, his smile conveys happiness.

On the snowman's body, I stuck two black plastic balls to make buttons on his clothes. This way, he looks more beautiful than he really is; in fact, the snowman needed a base to give him stability.

The video disc was perfect for what I wanted, so I cut two circles of yellow cardstock the size of the base and glued them on both sides. I chose one side of the base and glued the snowman to it, adding arms to both ends, which I made with black yarn.

Behind the base, I glued a piece of black yarn to the top so that it could be hung on the tree or anywhere else. I couldn't ignore the falling snow, which made the craft more eye-catching.

Find some white paint and, using a small piece of tissue paper, dab the paint onto the base using the stippling technique. Leave it to dry. That's it! Here's the final result of the snowman. Give it a go, it's a unique experience.

Muñeco de nieve para mi arbolito.
Saludos comunidad, he vuelto muy animada, la temporada decembrina me trae por acá, he decidido realizar otro adorno para mi arbolito, ya que considero que le hace falta. Decidí realizar un muñeco de nieve, el que he visto en la televisión, su cuerpo lo hacen con nieve, sus brazos se lo hacen con ramas.
Sus ojos utilizan objetos circulares como botones, la nariz colocan frecuentemente una zanahoria. En la cabeza le colocan un sombrero..., el que voy a realizar lamentablemente no será con nieve, esté fenomeno no se da en mi país.
Sin embargo los materiales que usare en su construcción trataran de buscar similitud a lo que hemos estado acostumbrado a ver. El muñeco de nieve antes era usado para alejar a los espiritus, esa creencia persistió por mucho tiempo.
Actualmente es asociado al invierno y representa un icono cultural para la navidad. Me siento con muchas ganas de elaborarlo, así que te sugiero que me acompañes en el proceso.
Materiales:
- Foami color negro escarchado.
- Foami color blanco escarchado.
- Foami color anaranjado.
- Foami color amarillo.
- Foami color rojo.
- Escuadra.
- Bola de plástico color negro.
- Silicón líquido.
- Saca punta.
- Disco dañado.
- Lápiz de grafito.
- Estambre color negro.
- Cartulina de construcción color amarillo.
- Pintura al frío color blanco.
- Servilleta de papel.
Procedimiento:
Para hacer el muñeco de nieve, utilicé la imagen de referencia de Pixabay. Se realizaron modificaciones durante el proceso.
En el foami blanco escarchado, marque con el lápiz dos círculos, me ayudé con dos envases de plástico para hacer la cabeza y el cuerpo. El diámetro de las esferas es 3 y 4 centímetros respectivamente, los corte con la tijera, ver imágenes.

Luego dibuje en el foami fucsia escarchado el cuello con el círculo de la cabeza el cual fue mi guía, y mirando la imagen de referencia hice la forma de la bufanda. Ya listo el dibujo recorte y lo marque en foami para recortar nuevamente ver imagen.

Dibuje el sombrero en una hoja blanca, utilice el círculo de la cabeza para que el tamaño del sombrero sea proporcional al muñeco de nieve, lo recorte, y lo lleve al foami para sacar la pieza definitiva, ver imagen.

Listó el sombrero, saqué el patrón de la nieve que le caía en foami blanco escarchado. Además, recorté tres tiras finas de 3 centímetros cada uno en los colores anaranjado, rojo y amarillo para hacer flores que adornan el sombrero, enrolle y pegué ver imagen.

Ahora toca armar el muñeco de nieve, pego con silicón líquido la cabeza y cuerpo. Ya pegado, le echo pega al sombrero y se lo pego en la cabeza como ven en la imagen.

Al sombrero le pegue la nieve y las flores para decorarlo, aproveché de colocar la bufanda de color fuscia para que adornara su cuello.

En la cara del muñeco de nieve le pegué sus ojos, usé un par de bolas de plástico color negro. La nariz se la hice de forma triangular con la intención de que tuviese similitud a una zanahoria, utilicé foami anaranjado.
Con dos centímetros de hilo para bisutería color negro, hice la boca, y esta quedó fija con el silicón líquido. El muñeco de nieve se ve feliz, su sonrisa transmite felicidad.

En el cuerpo del muñeco de nieve pegué dos bolas de plástico color negro para que hagan el efecto de botones en su vestimenta. De esta manera, adorna y se ve más hermoso de lo que es; en realidad, el muñeco de nieve necesitaba una base para darle estabilidad.

El disco de video era perfecto para lo que se quería, así que se cortó dos círculos de cartulina color amarillo del tamaño de la base y se pegó por ambos lados. Elegí una cara de la base y pegué el muñeco de nieve y le incorporé los brazos a ambos extremos, se los hice con estambre color negro.

Por detrás de la base, pegué en la parte superior un poco de hebra de estambre color negro para que se pueda guindar, sea en el arbolito o en cualquier lugar. No podía obviar la nieve cayendo y haciendo más vistoso la manualidad.

Busque pintura al frío color blanco y con un poco de servilleta tome pintura e hice la técnica de moteado en la base y coloqué a secar. Siendo esto lo último, los dejo con el resultado final del muñeco de nieve, anímate a hacerlo la experiencia que se vive es única.
