Hola a todos! El proyecto que les traigo hoy es algo que hago con muy poca frecuencia.
Ya he dicho en otros posts que tenía una tienda de regalos que tuve que cerrar a principios del 2020, por la pandemia. Aún, muchos clientes me contactan para nuevos encargos, pero nunca me habían llamado para este tipo de trabajo. He hecho trabajos similares en casa o para algún familiar, pero nunca como encargo.
Una antigua clienta me llamó hace días. Preguntó si yo podía repararle una repisa de madera en forma de nube que compró en nuestra tienda, a finales del 2019. Por supuesto le dije que sí. Era un trabajo muy sencillo, que con seguridad podría hacer bien y satisfacer su expectativa.
Así llegó a mi el proyecto, cuyo paso a paso les traigo hoy. A continuación la lista de materiales.

Hello everyone! The project I bring you today is something I do very infrequently.
I've said in other posts before that I had a gift store that I had to close in early 2020, because of the pandemic. I still get contacted by many customers for new orders, but I have never been called for this type of work before. I have done similar work at home or for a family member, but never as a commission.
A former customer called me a few days ago. She asked if I could repair a wooden cloud shelf she bought in our store, at the end of 2019. Of course I said yes. It was a very simple job that I could certainly do well and meet his expectation.
Thus came to me the project, whose step by step I bring you today. Below is the list of materials.
Necesitaré:
- Lija de grano fino
- Pintura selladora
- Pintura de esmalte base agua
- Pigmento magenta
- Brochas de esponja
I will need:
- Fine grit sandpaper
- Sealing paint
- Water based enamel paint
- Magenta pigment
- Sponge brushes
Lo primero que haré será emparejar la superficie dónde están los daños con la lija fina. Después daré una mano de pintura selladora o fondo, para preparar la superficie para pintura.
The first thing I will do is to smooth the surface where the damage is with fine sandpaper. Then I will give a coat of sealer paint or primer, to prepare the surface for painting.
Prepararé la pintura de color rosado claro mezclando el esmalte blanco con el pigmento hasta obtener el color deseado.
I will prepare the light pink paint by mixing the white enamel with the pigment until the desired color is obtained.
Lo primero que pintaré serán las partes con madera expuesta para emparejar el tono para la pintura final. Una vez seco procederé a dar una primera mano de la pintura preparada.
The first thing I will paint will be the parts with exposed wood to match the tone for the final painting. Once dry I will proceed to give a first coat of the prepared paint.
Transcurridos 30 minutos aplicaré una segunda mano. Como se observan algunas imperfecciones esperaré media hora más y daré una tercera capa de pintura.
After 30 minutes I will apply a second coat. As some imperfections are observed I will wait half an hour more and I will give a third coat of paint.
Satisfecha con el acabado doy por terminada la restauración de esta repisa. El color quedó algo diferente, pero mucho más bonito que el anterior.
Satisfied with the finish, I consider the restoration of this shelf finished. The color was a little different, but much nicer than the previous one.

in camera, (or from a distance) the two colors are nearly identical and don't look like they've been fixed at all. well done :)
