Hope our day is coming in well and the weather is not too sunny over there like it is here. The weather is usually unbearable these days that I miss the rains so much already. It seems like the earth is getting more hotter very faster than we think, each years gets hotter than the other and I hope that we will find a solution that will save the earth soon. How lucky us anyone who has an air conditioner in their house as we speak.
Talking about hot weather and the loads of harvest we have in farm we often make it to farm early as 7 am and sometimes 6:30, our farm work is easily done in the early hours of the morning. By noon or at about this time we will already be at home or be on our way home to escape working under this scourging sun.
So as usual I am already at home resting and trying to read some books.
My sister Ana's turned 14years today, I'm anxiously waiting for her to get back from school to see if I can get her an ice cream at least.
I have asked her yesterday what she would like to have for her birthday and she hesitated. Till now she doesn't want to bother me about a birthday gift knowing fully well how I had struggled to pay her school fees only few days ago. Such a reasonable child deserved all the best she can get and I will try my best to give her the kind of life she desired as her mini mother 😂.
She has outgrown most of the clothes I have sewn for her over the years, going through her closet I saw many tiny wears and Facebook also sent me reminders of the pictured I have taking for her as she clock different years.
I realized that she will be needing some change of clothes and undergarments. It's good to cultivate a habit of keeping close watch on our daughters especially teenager. We need to teach them how to be proper women and keep their undergarments clean especially when they are clocking the puberty age.Changing their undergarments from time to time should be a top priority.
I will be sewing some undergarments for Ana's and hopefully before the week runs out I would make her a birthday dress if I have some bucks to spare.
To sew a simple inner wear you measure out the bodice pattern of your young lady.
The chest width should be 6 wide, max for teenagers for adults I may use up to 8 depending on their size
Cut out both front and back bodice
Next a strap of 1.5-2" and the front facing of 1.5"
For sewing
You turn the necklines in first with the 1.5" fabric bias
Attach the Straps at both end of the innderwear with 2" straps, stitch, turn it over and stich again
Next I got a glittery embroidery and attached to the front to different the front from the back.
This is a simple pattern on how to cut and sew a basic inner wear for your girl girl with this You can make innderwear of different colors and decide fo embellish this according to your taste.
Remember that it is healthy to change our undergarments every 6-8months if we can afford it.
Its such a creative output! I want also to make this especially for my child, but this is one of my weakness. Thanks for sharing, Hoping I can make it also in the future
