Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad de Hive DIY, hace bastante que no subo nada en la comunidad, pero siempre que puedo y tengo un tiempo paso a ver todas sus creaciones. Algunos sabrán que tengo un emprendimiento de impresión 3D y desde hace un tiempo estaba pensando en hacer un sorteo, pero no tenía muy en claro de que, hasta que se me ocurrió sortear mates impresos en 3D uno del personaje Deadpool y otro del personaje Jacke de hora de aventura.
Hello dear friends of the Hive DIY community, I haven't uploaded anything to the community for quite a while, but whenever I can and I have some time I go to see all your creations. Some of you may know that I have a 3D printing venture and for some time I was thinking of doing a raffle, but I was not very clear about what, until I came up with the idea of raffling 3D printed mates, one of the Deadpool character and another one of the character Jacke from Adventure Time.
Me puse manos a la obra, conseguí los archivos STL para imprimirlos, hice las configuraciones y empecé. Cada mate tarda aproximadamente unas 9 o 10 horas de impresión y luego viene el trabajo manual de pintar los detalles.
I got to work, got the STL files to print them, made the settings and started. Each matte takes about 9 to 10 hours to print and then comes the manual work of painting the details.
Me gustan mucho este tipo de mates donde el color general del material es el que predomina y solo hace falta agregar algunos detalles de pintura, facilita mucho el trabajo especialmente en el tiempo de mano de obra.
I really like this type of matte where the general color of the material is the one that predominates and it is only necessary to add some painting details, it makes the work much easier, especially in labor time.

En el mate de Jacke pinte el contorno de los ojos de negro con un pincel fino y acrílico negro, luego utilice blanco para los ojos. Después quise pintar los dientes y la lengua, fue una mala y buena decisión ¿Por qué se preguntarán? Porque son detalles muy chicos, hay que tener mucho pulso y paciencia para lograr hacerlo bien. Al principio hice un enchastre de pintura, pero pude lograr un buen acabado en los dientes y la lengua. Una vez finalicé de pintarlo protegí el acrílico colocando una capa de laca al agua transparente.
In Jacke's matte I painted the outline of the eyes black with a fine brush and black acrylic, then used white for the eyes. Then I wanted to paint the teeth and the tongue, it was a good and bad decision, why you may ask? Because they are very small details, you have to have a lot of pulse and patience to get it right. At first I made a mess of paint, but I was able to get a good finish on the teeth and tongue. Once I finished painting it, I protected the acrylic with a coat of clear water lacquer.
Ahora tocaba dedicarle tiempo al mate de Deadpool, lo bueno es que ya tenía experiencia con este porque había hecho uno anteriormente de regalo para una amiga. Empecé con acrílico negro pintando la característica mascara, algo que recomiendo en este caso es pintar sin diluir el acrílico en agua, ya que es mejor que quede fijo rápidamente sobre la superficie porque si no la pintura empieza a correrse y terminas manchando todo. Una vez manches la pieza es difícil limpiarla porque el proceso de impresión 3D deja líneas minúsculas horizontales y la pintura se deposita ahí, dificultando mucho arreglar errores. Después con un pincel fino y acrílico blanco pinte los ojos y para finalizar nuevamente coloque una capa de laca para proteger la pintura y que esta dure mucho tiempo.
Now it was time to dedicate time to the Deadpool matte, the good thing is that I already had experience with this one because I had done one before as a gift for a friend. I started with black acrylic painting the characteristic mask, something I recommend in this case is to paint without diluting the acrylic in water, as it is better to fix it quickly on the surface because otherwise the paint starts to run and you end up staining everything. Once you stain the piece it is difficult to clean it because the 3D printing process leaves tiny horizontal lines and the paint is deposited there, making it very difficult to fix mistakes. Then with a fine brush and white acrylic paint the eyes and finally again put a coat of lacquer to protect the paint and make it last a long time.
