Greetings members and dear friends of Hive, welcome to my post once again, I'm Nitsu and as you can see I'm here again bringing another of my creations. This time I bring a figure that really would be better if I had done it in a larger scale but as I mentioned in previous posts due to lack of space and having reduced material for this work I decided to do it in a small size, which I usually come working with the rest of the sculptures, but anyway it has been very well.

En esta ocasión traigo una figura que realmente se preciaría mejor si lo hubiera hecho en una escala más grande pero como mencione en posteos anteriores por falta de espacio y al contar con material reducido para este trabajo decidí hacerlo en un tamaño pequeño, el que generalmente vengo trabajando con el resto de las esculturas, pero de todas formas ha quedado muy bien.
The sculpture of the veiled woman, also known as the Flora Farnesiana or Capitolina is a work made by the Italian sculptor Giovanni Strazza back in 1850. The work represents an unknown woman with her face covered by a veil, being able to appreciate the folds of the veil on the facial features being extremely realistic and accurate, something incredible to achieve on marble. All this creates an effect of mystery and beauty in the sculpture, I would really love to be able to appreciate this work in person.
La escultura de la mujer velada, también conocida como la Flora Farnesiana o Capitolina es una obra realizada por el escultor italiano Giovanni Strazza por allá en el año de 1850. Today this sculpture is in the Borghese Gallery in Rome, Italy where today you can appreciate the beauty and artistic details. It is a piece that has always caught my attention, but as you can see in the images you can not appreciate these folds of the veil in 3D printing mainly because of the scale of the piece.
Hoy en día esta escultura se encuentra en la Galería de Borghese en Roma, Italia donde a día de hoy se puede apreciar la belleza y detalles artísticos. Es una pieza que desde siempre me ha llamado la atención, pero como podrán ver en las imágenes no se llega a apreciar tanto estos pliegues del velo en la impresión 3D principalmente por la escala de la pieza.

It takes about 3hs 15min to finish printing and I use 44 grams of material, I am still considering to reprint this sculpture in a larger scale or maybe get a STL file with better definition to print it at a lower layer height maybe, thus achieving better results with the same printing time and material consumption.

What do you think of the original work of the veiled woman? I would love to read your comments, you are always welcome to leave your ideas for future sculptures.
