[ESP-ENG] Concurso de Letras decoradas 😍 Decorated Letters Contest

Un inmenso saludos a la comunidad de Hive Diy, una colmena que brinda la oportunidad de crear, diseñar y demostrar nuestro talento con nuestras manos. En esta oportunidad estaré participando en el concurso, titulado letras decoradas.

A huge greeting to the Hive Diy community, a hive that provides the opportunity to create, design and demonstrate our talent with our hands. This time I will be participating in the contest, titled decorated letters.

En este lindo concurso, elaborare la letra L, con motivo de la primera letra inicial del nombre de mi primer nieto llamado Liam. A continuación los materiales que voy a utilizar:

Cartón.
Cartulina de construcción color verde, naranja.
Tijera.
Regla, lápiz.
Retazos de foami (amarillo, morado, rojo).
Pega blanca.

Veamos el paso a paso

In this nice contest, I will make the letter L, on the occasion of the first initial letter of the name of my first grandson named Liam. Here are the materials I am going to use:

Cardboard.
Green and orange construction paper.
Scissors.
Ruler, pencil.
Foami scraps (yellow, purple, red).
White glue.

Let's see the step by step

Primeramente el material a utilizar para elaborar la letra decorada es el cartón, trazamos con la regla la letra L, con las diferentes medidas. Luego con la tijera lo recortamos.

First of all, the material to be used to make the decorated letter is the cardboard, we trace with the ruler the letter L, with the different measures. Then we cut it out with the scissors.

Seguidamente con la cartulina de construcción color naranja la vamos a doblar a 2 centímetros a lo ancho y vamos doblando tipo abanico 5 veces. Se marco con el lápiz la forma de curva para darle una decoración. Procedemos a recortar con la tijera alrededor de la curva. Por igual, doblamos a 2 centímetros y cartulina verde y repetimos el mismo paso anterior.

Then with the orange construction paper we are going to fold it 2 centimeters wide and we are going to fold it like a fan 5 times. We mark with the pencil the curve shape to give it a decoration. We proceed to cut with the scissors around the curve. Similarly, we fold to 2 centimeters and green cardboard and repeat the same step above.

Llego la hora de decorar. Tomamos el color naranja primeramente, empezamos a pegar con pega blanca de manera horizontal, recortando con la tijera el pedazo que va sobrando y se va colocando en la otra linea abajo, esta técnica utilizada es cuando vamos adornar una piñata, cuidando que el adorno se vea. Luego tomamos el color verde y lo vamos a pegar de manera diagonal. Después terminamos con el color naranja, pegándolo de manera horizontal. Y así va quedando. Ya forrado la letra, a los lados le colócanos una cinta azul delgada y así cubrimos los bordes.

It is time to decorate. We take the orange color first, we begin to paste with white glue horizontally, cutting with the scissors the piece that is left over and is placed on the other line below, this technique is used when we are going to decorate a piñata, taking care that the ornament is visible. Then we take the green color and we are going to glue it diagonally. Then we finish with the orange color, gluing it horizontally. And that's how it will look like. Once the letter is lined, place a thin blue ribbon on the sides and cover the edges.

Para darle un mejor acabado con los retazos de foami morado, amarillo, azul rojo dibujamos unos globos y unos corazones. Con un corrector les di un toque a los globos.

To give it a better finish with the purple, yellow, blue and red foami scraps, we drew some balloons and hearts. With a concealer I gave a touch to the balloons.
