Buenas tardes, vengo a compartirles este dibujo que hice en acuarelas de unos de mis personajes favoritos en el anime de la serie **Shingeki no Kyojin**. La verdad es que tenía mucho tiempo sin dibujar y no sabía como me podría quedar, a parte de que no estoy acostumbrada a las acuarelas, la verdad es que si me gusto mucho el resultado. La imagen la seque de un vídeo de youtube donde capture uno de los momentos mas vulnerables de este personaje, **Mikasa Ackerman**.
Good afternoon, I come to share with you this drawing I did in watercolors of one of my favorite characters in the anime series Shingeki no Kyojin. The truth is that I had a long time without drawing and I didn't know how it could look like, besides I'm not used to watercolors, the truth is that I really liked the result. The image was taken from a youtube video where I captured one of the most vulnerable moments of this character, Mikasa Ackerman.
Esta escena, a mi particularmente me impactó, me gusto mucho, la forma en que Mikasa llora y deja ver todo su dolor y desesperación al saber que no podrá salvar la vida de su amigo. Realmente espero haber retratado ese momento de desesperación de este personaje. Ella siendo la mas fuerte físicamente se desborono al ver el cuerpo quemado de su amigo.
This scene, I particularly liked the way Mikasa cries and shows all his pain and despair when he knows that he won't be able to save his friend's life. I really hope I portrayed that moment of desperation of this character. She being the physically strongest one, she was overwhelmed at the sight of her friend's burnt body.
Creo que lo mas difícil de hacer este tipo de dibujo es captar las emociones, hay que tener un cuidado especial en los detalles ya que es este el que logra el resultado final.
I think that the most difficult part of this type of drawing is to capture the emotions, you have to take special care in the details because this is what achieves the final result.
Unas de las cosas que siento que se me hacen mas complicadas es distribuir el dibujo en el papel, parece algo sencillo pero es una de las cosas que más tiempo me lleva porque hay que saber muy bien donde va cada cosa para que el dibujo no quede desproporcionado, para esto uso una regla, a veces uso el mismo lápiz u otras veces solo lo mido con los dedos.
One of the things that I feel more complicated is to distribute the drawing on the paper, it seems simple but it is one of the things that takes me more time because you have to know very well where each thing goes so that the drawing is not disproportionate, for this I use a ruler, sometimes I use the same pencil or other times I just measure it with my fingers.
Una vez que ya tengo el dibujo empiezo a mezclar las acuarelas, rojo con amarillo para encontrar el color mas parecido posible al de la imagen de referencia. Encontrar el color se me hizo un poco complicado porque me quedaba o muy rojo o muy amarillo, bueno, después de tanto intentar pude dar con el color correcto.
Once I have the drawing I start mixing the watercolors, red with yellow to find the closest possible color to the reference image. Finding the color was a little complicated because it was either too red or too yellow, well, after trying so hard I was able to find the right color.
Y así seguí dibujando, con mucha inseguridad porque no me estaba gustando con me iba quedando, pero seguí y confíe que al terminar si iba a tener forma. Delinee los bordes con un pincel fino y termine dándole forma a las puntas con un marcador punta fina Un poco de verde para los ojos y blanco para el brillo y los detalles mas pequeños. Para la sombra del ojo utilice un gris un poco mas oscuro que el que use para la esclerótica. Para la sombra de la cara solo añadí un poco de marrón al color piel que ya había logrado con el rojo y amarillo. Y para las lagrimas no sabia como exactamente hacerlas porque con acuarelas se corría mucho y no se veía tan bien por lo que termine usando corrector y así logre que me gustara el resultado.
And so I kept drawing, with a lot of insecurity because I wasn't liking the way it was turning out, but I kept going and trusted that when I finished it would have a shape. I outlined the edges with a fine brush and finished shaping the tips with a fine tip marker. A little bit of green for the eyes and white for the glitter and the smaller details. For the eye shadow use a slightly darker gray than the one I used for the sclera. For the face shadow I just added a little brown to the skin color I had already achieved with the red and yellow. And for the tears I didn't know how exactly to do them because with watercolors they ran a lot and didn't look so good so I ended up using concealer and that's how I liked the result.
Este fue le resultado final, después de todo si me termino gustando. Se que debo seguir practicando porque aun no alcanzo el nivel que quiero. siento que el tiempo se me paso muy rápido haciendo este dibujo y es que siempre me pasa cada vez que dibujo, es como meditar ya que en ese momento somos solo el dibujo y yo, hay una conexión que aunque es un tanto estresante al no saber como hacer ciertos detalles, también es relajante, siempre es bueno hacer lo que nos gusta y desconectarnos del mundo. Bueno, esto fue todo, me despido y espero que también les haya gustado.
This was the final result, after all I ended up liking it. I know that I must keep practicing because I still don't reach the level I want. I feel that the time passed very fast making this drawing and it always happens to me every time I draw, it's like meditating because at that moment it's just me and the drawing, there is a connection that although it's a little stressful not knowing how to do certain details, it's also relaxing, it's always good to do what we like and disconnect from the world.
