Hola, espero estén teniendo un maravilloso día. Hoy quiero mostrarles mi área de trabajo, la cual armé desde cero con elementos que tenía en casa. Este proyecto nació por la necesidad de un espacio mucho más amplio, cómodo, práctico y funcional, en dónde realizar las diferentes actividades que desempeño. Con la intención de aprovechar al máximo, el espacio que tengo disponible.
Hi, I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today I want to show you my work area, which I built from scratch with elements I had at home. This project was born out of the need for a much more spacious, comfortable, practical and functional space, where to perform the different activities I do. With the intention of making the most of the space I have available.
Los que me conocen a mí y a mi contenido, entenderán de lo que hablo... Yo hago muchas cosas diferentes y no podía designar un área distinta a cada una. En cambio necesitaba poder hacer la mayor cantidad de actividades, en el menor espacio posible y hasta el momento, este es el mejor resultado que he logrado. El cual requirió mucho tiempo e ingenio, pero estoy súper feliz con él, se adapta muy bien a mis necesidades.
Those who know me and my content, will understand what I'm talking about... I do a lot of different things and I couldn't designate a different area for each one. Instead I needed to be able to do as many activities as possible, in as little space as possible and so far, this is the best result I have achieved. It took a lot of time and ingenuity, but I am super happy with it, it adapts very well to my needs.
Lo mejor del caso es que no gasté dinero en el proceso y logré reutilizar varias cosas, eso realmente me encantó. Ni hablar de la mejora desde que empecé a crear contenido, hasta ahora porque es simplemente impresionante. Pasé de una mesa armable, una silla de plástico y un espejo restaurado, a lo que verán el día de hoy. Yo espero que les guste, les sirva y que a su vez mantengan presente, que no hace falta mucho para lograr grandes cosas.
The best thing about it is that I didn't spend any money in the process and I managed to reuse several things, I really loved that. Not to mention the improvement since I started creating content, until now because it is simply amazing. I went from an assembleable table, a plastic chair and a restored mirror, to what you will see today. I hope you like it, I hope you find it useful and I hope you keep in mind that it doesn't take much to achieve great things.
Esto más que un tutorial, es un poco de mi experiencia y como resolví con lo que tenía, para que lo tengan en cuenta. Dicho eso, empezaré con la mesa, esta la hice hace un tiempo pero prácticamente no la ocupaba... Por si sola, era un tanto incómoda para trabajar y solo la usaba cuando era estrictamente necesario. Esta mesa está conformada por dos sillas, dos cajas de cerveza rectangulares y una tabla de mi antigua cama.
This is more than a tutorial, it's a bit of my experience and how I solved it with what I had, for you to keep in mind. That said, I'll start with the table, this one I made a while ago but I practically didn't use it... By itself, it was somewhat uncomfortable to work and I only used it when it was strictly necessary. This table is made up of two chairs, two rectangular beer crates and a board from my old bed.
El problema principal al momento de crear contenido, era la iluminación... No tenía lugar para el aro de luz. Los elementos chocaban entre sí, era un total y absoluto desastre, luego me dolía mucho el cuerpo. Esto no ayudaba en mi proceso creativo y mucho menos a crecer como creadora, era frustrante.
The main problem when creating content, was the lighting... I had no room for the light ring. The elements clashed with each other, it was a total and utter mess, then my body hurt a lot. It didn't help my creative process, let alone help me grow as a creator, it was frustrating.
Yo sabía cuál era la solución al problema, pero me tomó algo de tiempo poder llevarla a cabo. Era tan "fácil" como hacer un agujero en el centro de la tabla, para colocar allí el trípode con el aro de luz. Sin embargo en ese entonces, no tenía ninguna herramienta que me sirviera.
I knew what the solution to the problem was, but it took me some time to implement it. It was as "easy" as drilling a hole in the center of the board to place the tripod with the light ring. However, at that time, I didn't have any tools that would work for me.
Hace poco y ya teniendo algo útil a mi disposición, empecé a trabajar en las modificaciones y mejoras necesarias. Me aseguré de tomar fotos del proceso y aquí se las iré mostrando, mientras explico más o menos lo que hice.
Recently, and now having something useful at my disposal, I started working on the necessary modifications and improvements. I made sure to take pictures of the process and here I will show them to you, as I explain more or less what I did.
Empecé ubicando el centro de la tabla. Para que este paso quedara un poco más claro y se entendiera mejor, hice este gif. Con la intención de que pudieran ver el plano aéreo, de los trazos que hice en la tabla, con el marcador a base de agua.
I started by locating the center of the board. To make this step a little clearer and better understood, I made this gif. With the intention that you could see the aerial plan, of the strokes I made on the board, with the water based marker.
Un vez tuve mis guías listas, empecé a hacer el agujero con el taladro... Tardé una eternidad, la verdad. Volteé la tabla y realicé las mismas guías con el marcador, luego tomé el taladro nuevamente para hacer otro agujero. Lo hice de esta forma por el espesor de la tabla (4cm) y es que con la mecha no podía llegar, hasta el otro lado de la tabla.
Once I had my guides ready, I started to make the hole with the drill... It took forever, to be honest. I flipped the board over and made the same guides with the marker, then took the drill again to make another hole. I did it this way because of the thickness of the board (4cm) and because I couldn't reach the other side of the board with the drill bit.
Después usé un destornillador de estría y una tabla de madera, para suplir la función de un cincel y un martillo. Lo logré pero la tabla se partió dos ves... A la mitad y luego una de esas mitades, también se rompió a la mitad.
Then I used a fluted screwdriver and a wooden board, to replace the function of a chisel and a hammer. I made it, but the board broke twice... In half and then one of those halves also broke in half.
Una vez el agujero quedó listo, con un trapito húmedo borré las líneas guías, que hice con el marcador y no se quitó del todo, por lo que terminé de limpiar con un poquito de alcohol y el mismo trapito. Luego coloqué la pieza de plástico en el agujero, para que quedara mucho más seguro y hasta cierto punto, estético. Finalmente pasé el trípode de mi aro de luz, por la parte inferior del agujero y después coloqué el aro.
Once the hole was ready, with a damp rag I erased the guide lines, which I made with the marker and did not remove completely, so I finished cleaning with a little alcohol and the same rag. Then I placed the plastic piece in the hole, so that it would be much more secure and to a certain extent, aesthetic. Finally I passed the tripod of my light ring through the lower part of the hole and then I placed the ring.
Para dar por culminada la remodelación, aproveché los agujeros pequeños que ya tenía la tabla y coloqué unos tornillos que solían ser de unas lámparas. Luego coloqué un espejo que estaba en desuso y lo apoyé sobre la pared, los tornillos los usé para delimitar y a su vez sostener la parte de abajo del espejo.
To finish the remodeling, I took advantage of the small holes that the board already had and placed some screws that used to be from some lamps. Then I placed a mirror that was in disuse and leaned it on the wall, I used the screws to delimit and at the same time hold the bottom of the mirror.
Les cuento, aquí fue donde hice mi último maquillaje y no se imaginan la diferencia a la hora de trabajar, todo fluyó bastante bien. Ya que podía alcanzar los productos y herramientas con bastante facilidad, al mismo tiempo tenía una buena distribución de luz. Cuidar el encuadre y tomar las fotos de los pasos, fue lo más fácil del mundo... Así pude concentrarme de lleno en el maquillaje y admito que amé el resultado.
I tell you, this is where I did my last makeup and you can't imagine the difference when it came to work, everything flowed quite well. Since I could reach the products and tools quite easily, at the same time I had a good light distribution. Taking care of the framing and taking pictures of the steps was the easiest thing in the world... So I could concentrate fully on the makeup and I admit I loved the result.
Luego les mostraré más a detalle, los demás elementos que componen esta área y como me las arreglo para cambiar de actividad, de forma fácil, rápida y organizada. Tengo pensado hacer más contenido de este estilo, porque siento que es una buena forma de aportar valor y de compartir más facetas acerca de la creación de contenido, en general.
Later I will show you in more detail, the other elements that make up this area and how I manage to change activities, in an easy, fast and organized way. I plan to do more content in this style, because I feel it is a good way to bring value and share more facets about content creation, in general.
Siento que es muy útil, a mí me ayuda mucho ver esta clase de cosas, porque me permite ampliar un poco mi mente. Y a valorar no solo los resultados, si no también los procesos que son tan o más importantes. Ahora tengo un espacio que me gusta, me inspira y un constante recordatorio de mi propósito como creadora.
I feel it is very useful, it helps me a lot to see this kind of things, because it allows me to broaden my mind a little. And to value not only the results, but also the processes that are as or more important. Now I have a space that I like, that inspires me and a constant reminder of my purpose as a creator.
