Amo la creación de accesorios y no he publicado sobre esto porque no tengo entre mis materiales el alambre dorado que me gusta para la elaboración de accesorios. Pero revisando conseguí pedacitos que van quedando de otros proyectos, y hoy quise aprovecharlos.
También tengo una bolsa con caracoles y conchitas marinas que mis hijos siempre recogen cuando vamos para una playa y hay de éstas muy cerca de la orilla. Revisando esta bolsita conseguí tres que me parecieron perfectas para realizar un conjunto de zarcillos y dije con temática marina, y sus tamaños me parecen que son ideales para este proyecto de hoy.
I love creating accessories and I haven't posted about this because I don't have among my materials the gold wire that I like for making accessories. But while reviewing I found bits and pieces left over from other projects, and today I wanted to take advantage of them.
I also have a bag with snails and sea shells that my children always collect when we go to a beach and there are some of these very close to the shore. Reviewing this bag, I found three that seemed perfect to make a set of earrings and pendant with a marine theme, and I think their sizes are ideal for this project today.
Primero intenté realizar una perforación en el caracol para poder trabajar con él, entonces traté dándole muchas vueltas con un punzón, pero aunque lo intenté durante un buen rato no logré hacerlo, y temía romperlo, así que tuve que pensar en otra forma para utilizarlo. Y más adelante les explico como logré trabajar con estos materiales de la naturaleza, que me dan mucha ilusión ya que mis hijos cuando eran pequeños lo recogían con mucha emoción y tengo muchos años guardándolos.
First I tried to make a hole in the snail so I could work with it, then I tried turning it around with an awl a lot, but although I tried for a long time I couldn't do it, and I was afraid of breaking it, so I had to think of another way to use it. And later I will explain how I managed to work with these materials from nature, which make me very excited since when my children were little they collected them with great excitement and I have been saving them for many years.
Como les mencioné estoy trabajando o realizando este proyecto con trocitos de materiales, y tomé un pedacito de alambre de bisutería y realicé un aro en un extremo, luego lo corté porque realmente es muy poco el tamaño que necesito, mide aproximadamente 1,5 cms.
As I mentioned, I am working or carrying out this project with small pieces of materials, and I took a small piece of jewelry wire and made a ring at one end, then I cut it because it is really not the size I need, it measures approximately 1.5 cm.
En el otro extremo traté de darle una forma irregular, para lograr mayor fijación de éste en el caracol. Lo que se me ocurrió hacer es colocarlo en el caracol y fijarlo con un poquito de silicón caliente.
At the other end I tried to give it an irregular shape, to achieve greater fixation of it on the snail. What I thought of doing is placing it in the snail and fixing it with a little hot silicone.
Lo anteriormente descrito lo repetí en los otros caracoles, disponiendo del más grande para que fuese el dije del conjunto de accesorios marinos, y los otros dos más pequeños para los zarcillos.
También quise darle un poco más de color, entonces busqué tres piedritas de acrílico de color lila y les coloqué un alambre con un aro en cada extremo.
I repeated what was previously described in the other snails, using the largest one to be the pendant for the set of marine accessories, and the other two smaller ones for the tendrils.
I also wanted to give it a little more color, so I found three lilac acrylic stones and placed a wire with a ring on each end.
Con estos simples pasos ya tengo preparadas las piedritas de acrílico y los caracoles, como se aprecia en la siguiente imagen.
With these simple steps I now have the acrylic pebbles and snails ready, as seen in the following image.
Ahora voy a realizar los ganchos para los zarcillos, y como el material es reciclado tiene varias irregularidades, entonces alisé las piezas de alambre con una pinza de silicón, y con ella se logra un resultado muy bueno alisando.
Now I am going to make the hooks for the tendrils, and since the material is recycled it has several irregularities, so I smoothed the pieces of wire with a silicone clamp, and with it a very good smoothing result is achieved.
Para la forma del aro lo ideal es una pieza especializada que se llama mandril, pero podemos improvisar con un lápiz o marcador para dar la forma redondeada. Me gusta hacer esto con las dos piezas de alambre para los dos ganchos, para que queden lo más parecido posible.
Luego recorto ambas piezas en un extremo y en el otro realizo un aro a cada uno.
For the shape of the ring, the ideal is a specialized piece called a mandrel, but we can improvise with a pencil or marker to give the rounded shape. I like to do this with the two pieces of wire for the two hooks, so they are as similar as possible.
Then I cut out both pieces at one end and at the other I make a ring for each one.
Los ganchos quedaran de la siguiente forma, y ya tengo las piezas preparadas, solo falta conectarlas con aros, que por cierto también tenía guardados.
The hooks will look like this, and I already have the pieces prepared, I just need to connect them with rings, which by the way I also had saved.
Simplemente abro el aro y conecto todas las piezas.
I simply open the ring and connect all the pieces.
Así de hermosos quedaron los zarcillos, las piedras de color lila resaltan con el dorado del alambre y los colores naturales de los caracoles.
That's how beautiful the tendrils turned out, the lilac stones stand out with the gold of the wire and the natural colors of the snails.
El dije se arma igual que los zarcillos, solo que no tienen las piezas de los ganchos. Me gustó aprovechar este collar de alambre recubierto, ya que si es para la playa no se calentará y el contraste también me gustó mucho.
The pendant is assembled the same as the earrings, only they do not have the hook pieces. I liked to take advantage of this coated wire necklace, since if it is for the beach it will not get hot and I also really liked the contrast.
Me gustó mucho el resultado y creo que es hermoso no solo para usar en la playa, sino también para lograr un estilo bohemio y relajado.
Como siempre, las dueñas de mis creaciones son mis hijas, aunque tenga planes de hacerlos para mí, luego ellas lo quieren y en realidad no puedo negarme, me hace muy feliz que ellas quieran lucir mis creaciones.
I really liked the result and I think it is beautiful not only to wear on the beach, but also to achieve a bohemian and relaxed style.
As always, the owners of my creations are my daughters, even if I have plans to make them for me, then they want it and I really can't refuse, it makes me very happy that they want to show off my creations.
