Whites are one of the most common and widespread butterflies in the Czech Republic. They commonly fly in fields, gardens and various unmanaged hillsides and other areas. They are not a woodland species, but are still found in woodland clearings. Some species look almost the same at first sight, but of course this is not true. If you can get a photo from both sides, as here, identification is easy.
