Today I discovered something extraordinary I'd never seen before. It was a lime shieldbug, hanging peacefully among the dry branches. Its body was so small, it was almost invisible. I almost missed this incredibly beautiful moment.
I found this insect in a lime grove. The one I photographed was on a branch beneath a lime tree. This insect wasn't alone there were many of its friends on the lime tree. However, I couldn't capture the one on the tree because the tree was taller than me. I tried zooming in, but it still wasn't visible because it was too small. I decided to ignore the others on the tree and focus on the insect on this branch.
It seems like they're on the lime tree, attacking the plant. I saw them on the fruit, flowers, and young twigs. They're likely sucking the sap from the fruit, flowers, and young twigs. This is extremely dangerous. If the orchard owner doesn't eradicate these insects immediately, I'm sure the lime tree will slowly die. The sheer number of these insects means that much of the tree's sap is being drained.

I didn't know this insect. How beautiful it is!
Try visiting the lime trees; you might find them there, like the one I found here. You can enjoy them for yourself. Thank you for stopping by.
I'll try, but I don't think they exist in my country.
Hugs!
