A few days ago we opened the Beta testing for all players who purchased at least a Game Dev License in the official shop page. If you have, join dozens of other players and be one of the first to discover the Pixelverse.

For anyone who missed our previous posts you can catch up with the Pixelverse in our blog.

New features

This is a short list of all new updates released since our latest beta progress post:

• Team Member Fusions
  

• Ability to equip accessories
  

• Public development board (https://open.codecks.io/riseofthepixels)
  

And a bunch of minor improvements mostly based on community feedback:

• Switch pack opening to require the Hive active authority
• Change accent color used to identify NFT rarity to better follow video game conventions
• New accessory images
• Better filters
• UI improvements for smaller display

Beta Roadmap - Updated

The following roadmap is subject to change anytime. The main goal of the Beta phase is to include the community in the game development early on. As a result of this quick feedback loop the development team can shift priorities and re-organize features.

• ⏳ Game creation: Dec 21st-22nd
• 🗓 First Rewards Testing: Dec 2023 (keep in mind that these are not real world rewards)
• 🗓 Research projects: Jan 2024
• 🗓 Team Member training: Jan 2024

What should I know?

• The Beta is a way to collect community feedback and improve the game before the official release
• None of the actions performed on this Beta website have an impact of the main game. This includes (but not is limited to) opening packs and creating games
• During the Beta you can test the gameplay with a number of packs higher than the packs actually purchased on the official shop page
• All Team Members and Accessories you receive from opening packs on Beta will not be real NFTs and will not be reflected in the actual game after the official release
• The Beta environment use a fake token named PXL_BETA. This token is not related at all with the main PXL token that will be used in the game. You cannot withdraw the PXL_BETA token
• After joining the Beta you will receive 2x the number of packs you purchased
• If you purchase more packs after joining the Beta, hit the Accept & Join button again to see your new packs (2x) reflected in Beta

How to join the Beta?

If you already bought a license and some packs in the official shop page you can join the beta by following this link: https://beta.riseofthepixels.com/shop, and clicking the Accept & Join button.

I think I heard of this game some days back and I'm not sure if I've really understood everything completely but then from what I can see, I think this is a project that so many people might be interested in and I think one of the best ways to reach out to more people is by sharing about your project on the Inleo microblogging frontend as there are so many users that engage through threads.

For starters, I'd do well to share a link of this post on threads and hope more people come find it but then it's always better when it's shared by the real owners of the project.
