Not at the same time, it's a 1v1 battle scenario, at least in alpha+beta, but you can switch creatures in-battle. There won't be a limit of how many creatures you can have, even many of the same ones but there's a limit to how many you can have with you in your inventory which will depend on bagspace and which bag you have equipped.

The game is kinda too complex, I won't even go into the EV training subject...
Im a big fan of the genre and like watching WR speedruns, even any % glitchless. I honestly won't get how all that works, but am excited to play it when released.
Ok, so I see that extra vial won't give you an extra backpack spot, but 'll increase the backback rarity drop chance to impact it.
Ok, that convinced me to try to get more vials to have a better farm start, am maybe also better capture devices with more chances. All right, thanks!!
Yeah it can get quite complex but we're trying to not make it too punishing to just play it without the "hard-mode" level up on to enjoy the gameplay for anyone and then do some PvP on ladders where your creature rarity/stats and healer item stats don't need to be high to still earn some zing/items.
