Holozing Fan-lore future Timeline - Shadows Trying to Appear

Hello Holotrainers!

We're continuing with my story, my fan-lore that I've been developing for a few months now, but I have to admit that it was a little neglected among so many other things I had to do. Today I promise I have something for you that I've been working on for the past few weeks and that I didn't know how to present.

If you don't know much about the story, you can read the previous post and catch up. I'm trying to create a story for Holozing that goes hand in hand with its gameplay, something that unites everything in a good way and that players can see a transition between the story and the video game.

This is the post:

That being said, let's continue with the story!
  • In the future, the creatures disappeared

There's something that has always been on my mind: that feeling that the world moved on but left a void, like an echo that nobody hears but is still there, persistent. It's like when you remember something you never experienced,

or when you see a shadow and swear there was something there, but if you tell anyone, they think you're crazy. The same thing happens with the creatures of that lost time: they're not here, but they didn't completely disappear either.

At this point in the story, people no longer understand what was real and what was a stored memory. Everything is mixed up, kind of blurry. Now it's more of a vibe, a strange noise in the atmosphere. Some say it's glitches in the archive, others say it's the world itself remembering what it once had.

Little by little, people begin to notice strange moments: places where the air feels denser, like a collective déjà vu, where suddenly it seems like something is trying to appear... but it doesn't.

As if it were pushing from the other side. Some see it as a bad omen, others as a sign that something is about to return. And there are those who simply pass by because, well, that's life, but there are other (important) figures who pay attention to these phenomena.

We'll hear about them eventually.

Meanwhile, the cities live with this constant rumor that something big is stirring beneath it all. It's not a specific creature, it's not a core, it's not technology... it's like a mixture of things. The people who "study" these phenomena talk about pulses, vibrations, patterns that repeat without reason.

But they speak so vaguely that in the end they don't say anything useful, they only leave more questions. And perhaps that's the intention: that nobody really knows what's happening and so everyone invents their own version.

What is certain is that there's a change. Not a giant, immediate event or anything dramatic... more like a slow transition. Like when a storm is forming in the distance and you don't see it yet, but you know it's coming because the air has changed. That's the general feeling: that something is aligning for the creatures to manifest themselves in some way.
