Es un placer presentar una nueva contribución artística a la comunidad de Holozing. Recientemente, al investigar sobre el proyecto, descubrí con entusiasmo la iniciativa de arte Zingtober, inspirada en el formato Inktober. Aunque los plazos del concurso oficial (los 10 prompts diarios) ya han pasado y no participo formalmente para los premios, deseo enormemente sumarme al espíritu creativo del evento y realizar mi aporte a la comunidad. Por ello, presento mi interpretación para el primer prompt: "Mustache" (Bigote).
It is a pleasure to present a new artistic contribution to the Holozing community. Recently, while researching the project, I excitedly discovered the Zingtober art initiative, inspired by the Inktober format.
Although the deadlines for the official contest (the 10 daily prompts) have passed and I am not formally participating for the prizes, I sincerely wish to join the creative spirit of the event and make my own contribution to the community. Therefore, I present my interpretation for the first prompt: "Mustache.".
💡 Concepto Creativo: Humor y Reflejos La idea central de esta ilustración surgió de la inspiración en el humor cotidiano, particularmente las bromas que a veces surgen durante las sesiones de maquillaje. En mi obra, he representado a uno de los personajes de Holozing maquillándose frente a un espejo. El giro humorístico se encuentra en el reflejo: una pequeña barba y bigote han sido dibujados en el espejo, quizá con el mismo lápiz labial. Este detalle busca inyectar un elemento de gracia y sorpresa en la escena.
💡 Creative Concept: Humor and Reflections
The central idea for this illustration was inspired by everyday humor, particularly the jokes that sometimes arise during makeup sessions.
In my work, I have depicted one of the Holozing characters applying makeup in front of a mirror. The humorous twist lies in the reflection: a small beard and mustache have been drawn onto the mirror, perhaps with her own lipstick. This detail seeks to inject an element of grace and surprise into the scene.

| [El inicio con el delineado representó un desafío considerable. Dibujar la interacción entre la figura y su reflejo en el espejo generó varias complicaciones. Tuve que realizar hasta tres bocetos preliminares, ya que lograr que la pose de la persona se viera natural y coherente con el reflejo resultaba difícil. Curiosamente, el reflejo fue más sencillo de conseguir. Finalmente, logré un diseño que me satisfizo.Posteriormente, perfeccioné el delineado y me enfoqué en el escenario. Busqué darle un aire más interesante al fondo, optando por un estilo tipo graffiti en las paredes traseras para añadirle un toque cool a la composición.] | [Starting with the lineart presented a significant challenge. Drawing the interaction between the figure and her reflection in the mirror caused several complications. I had to create up to three preliminary sketches, as achieving a natural pose for the person that was coherent with the reflection proved difficult. Curiously, the reflection was simpler to execute. Ultimately, I achieved a design that I was satisfied with.Afterwards, I refined the lineart and focused on the setting. I sought to give the background a more interesting feel, opting for a graffiti-style on the back walls to add a cool touch to the composition. |

| [Esta etapa fue particularmente compleja, ya que no suelo trabajar con paletas de blanco y negro o escalas de grises en mi software Krita. Para lograr las tonalidades deseadas, especialmente en la piel del personaje (que es de un tono oscuro), tuve que investigar intensamente referencias de iluminación y sombreado.Fui aplicando las sombras y luces de forma progresiva, desde la piel del personaje hasta su vestimenta y, por último, el cabello, hasta conseguir un contraste satisfactorio.] | [This stage was particularly complex, as I don't usually work with black and white palettes or grayscale in my Krita software. To achieve the desired tonal values, especially on the character's skin (which is a dark tone), I had to research lighting and shading references intensely.I applied shadows and highlights progressively, moving from the character’s skin to her clothing, and finally the hair, until I achieved a satisfactory contrast.] |

Para el framing de la imagen final, incorporé una superposición de una libreta sostenida por manos. Si bien no estoy completamente satisfecho con cómo se integró este último elemento, espero que el resultado general del dibujo sea de su agrado.] | [The final phase focused on details: the eyes, hair highlights, the back of the scene, and other small elements like the handbag.As a final touch, I created an effect layer to simulate the glassy reflection of the mirror, better integrating the figure into the environment. For the final image framing, I overlaid an image of a notebook held by hands.
