Hello dear Holozing friends, good evening! I hope you're all doing well wherever you are. I recently noticed that new creatures have been revealed, adding to the lore of the Holozing world, which makes me very happy. I'm thrilled that the game continues to grow. It's been a few weeks since I've had the chance to share anything with the community, until now, because I want to show you what I've been working on. I've transformed our friend Noxic into an automaton that can move its wings. I thought it was a great idea since it involves mixed techniques, not only crafting but also drawing, making it a very complete piece. I used materials that can be found anywhere. I'll briefly describe the entire process until you see the final result. I hope you like it. Let's begin!

The materials I will use to make this movable Noxic figure are aluminum from a beer can, cardboard, drawing paper, and copper wire. First, I cut the can into a thin sheet. Then, I cut six pieces of cardboard, each 7 centimeters on each side. This cardboard will form the box for the movement mechanism. Finally, I draw Noxic's silhouette, cut it out, and glue it onto the aluminum to create the templates.

First, we're going to assemble the Noxic figure, so we'll start by cutting out the wings. We'll glue each of the paper templates onto the can, and then use scissors to cut out and shape each wing. It's important to use school glue here; it's easier to remove and less toxic.

Next, I make the body part, which will be the most mobile. I make a tab on each side, and on each wing, I also make two tabs at each end. These tabs will then be wrapped around a small wire. When I join them, they will form a small hinge that will allow the wings to open and close. So, using pliers, I hold and bend the aluminum so that it covers the wire well and doesn't come loose with movement.

The movement mechanism is very simple; it only requires copper wire and a few turns with pliers. For the moving part, I'll use a small metal pulley. This will go in the middle of a space created by the pliers through the wire. This will allow the body to move up and down, and also forward and backward a little. Then, with two copper wires of the same size, I'll place them on the sides, secured with the same copper wire. These, on the other hand, will be stationary and attached to the wings, so all the movement will be done by the middle part, which is Noxic's body.

After completing the mechanism, you need to assemble the small box with the parts that were cut at the beginning. First, I take measurements to make three holes for the wires to pass through. Then, I make holes for the sides where the mechanism will be attached and manipulated. I place metal pieces in the holes to guide the wire through and prevent the cardboard from deteriorating too quickly. Next, I gradually apply glue around the edges until the entire box is sealed and the mechanism is covered. Finally, we place Noxic inside. Using aluminum, we create supports glued to the wings and under the body, where each wire that allows movement will be attached.

What do you think of the final result? The mechanism turned out very smoothly. I thought it would be complicated to operate, but it wasn't. The effect of each wing as the body moves up and down is magnificent. For my first movable figure, I think it turned out great. I know there are several mechanisms, but this one seemed very easy to make, using materials like wire, which is easy to shape and manipulate. Noxic's flight looks fantastic, but what's your opinion? I hope you'll share it in the comments. For now, I'll say goodbye, and until next time!

You have a creative view of creativity, if you paint you do other things too. I myself have been so creative, I think I have developed.
Such a nice Maripossa you have created. I am so inspired by you, so I will try to make myself a weather vane.

Trying different techniques always keeps my mind active and thinking of new ideas, which is why I switch from drawing to creating with my hands. It's great therapy. I hope to see your work soon! Best regards

It turned out spectacular, that looks very difficult, and it looks amazing.

I had a little difficulty when I made the mechanism, as it took me 3 attempts, until I got the perfect one so that I could move the wings.

🔮 The Third Eye has found you.
