The second day of Zingtober is here, and I’m already behind! 😵
But I fell behind for a good reason—I got way too carried away trying to make something that looked really cool. On the first day, I told you I wasn’t happy with the result because it didn’t match the style I had in mind for Zingtober. But this time, it turned out way better, with a composition that fits much more naturally into the sketchbook.
🔅 Second Prompt: Weave
For the second day of Zingtober, with the prompt "Weave," I decided to interpret it through a magical scene where a forest healer creates a delicate and ethereal healing glove, weaving it alongside Arachlet—the perfect Holo for this task, as their natural ability to spin and intertwine makes them the ideal ally in this process. 🌿🧶✨
🧠 TOOLS USED:
- Photoshop (as always, my digital salvation).
- Brushes: my trusty brush pack, with a few new ones featuring glitter effects
- Resolution: 2048x2400 px
(Thx to @holozing for such adorable creatures to bring to life!)

⏰ CREATIVE PROCESS
✏️ Phase 1: Ibis Paint for Sketching
For this composition, I debated whether to draw the healer full-body or just half, but to avoid complicating things—and ironically complicating them even more—I decided to draw the healer in full body, forcing the perspective on her shoe. Thankfully, Arachlet turned out right on the first try.

🎨 Phase 2: Lineart
To improve and correctly draw the shoe's perspective, I had to look for a shoe reference. But since the perspective was an odd angle, any generic image wouldn’t cut it. Luckily, by searching "shoe 3D model," the first result gave me a render that could be moved into any position—so I was able to adjust it to match the exact perspective I had in mind.

🌗 Phase 3: Gray
This time, I didn’t use pure grayscale—instead, I gave it slightly bluish undertones to make the inking look more visually engaging. It’s a very subtle shift in tone, but I liked the result much better.

🌟 Phase 4: Final Touches
What I kept putting off was the hair, since I wanted to make it really long, with strands that reached all the way down to the glove. And speaking of the glove—I finally worked on it, adding line after line to create that woven texture, which is the whole point of this "weave" prompt.
And you? Are you doing Inktober, or focusing on Zingtober? Or maybe following a different prompt list?
Let me know in the comments—I’d love to check out your art and see how you interpret the prompts!

Love the idea and creativity behind this, simply amazing
Thank u @leeendah!
This turned out great!
The weaving idea to make the healing gloves was smart too hehe. I can see this happening a lot in the holozing world :)
Best thing is that you can add colours on it as well since you always paint in gray scale 😎!
Well, I got curious and tried it, I used the blending modes multiply, overlay and soft light, and in two minutes I gave it a little color 😅
Nice 😎!
That's a cool technique. I think Yanes use the same grayscale method to colour it :)
Beautiful
Thanks!
You’re sooo creative~~~ really love to see your works ^^
Thank u so much @atem.art!
