REFERENCE DRAWING
Hello everyone! It’s been a month since my last fan art in Holozing, and now that I’ve managed to organize my time better for creating art, I’m excited to share my latest piece. This time, I chose to draw female light healer. I’ve been intrigued by the character’s hair, which was a challenge during the process of creating this digital artwork. I’ve also included a time-lapse video of it. I hope you enjoy it!
Also you can find the source of this reference in Holozing discord channel.
DRAWING PROCESS
I like my sketch here, I guess I had a good sleep for sketching it this neatly
LINE ART
While returning to digital drawing and creating this line art, I realized that I'm not satisfied with the brush I used. I'm starting to feel that the brush strokes aren't meeting my expectations, so I'll likely look for a new brush soon.
COLOR PROCESS
As I mentioned in the introduction, coloring the hair of this character was a challenge, but I had a lot of fun experimenting with it though. I can't help but admire how well the animator of Holozing colored their characters. I also realize that I still have so much to learn.
FINAL DRAWING
I have gained confidence in working on backgrounds. I also added some sparkles to my drawing because it felt like the character needed to shine, especially with her shiny hair. In truth, I just followed my instincts while creating this character.
COLLECTION
When I was finalizing my work, I remembered the collection event announced by Holozing last January. Since then, I hadn’t attempted to enter due to a lack of confidence, but now I want to see if the character I created would fit the card designed for the collaboration and i think it's okay, but i know it's not a worthy pick for the collection, basically, i was just trying it out if the character looks good in the frame.
To be honest, I struggled to fit my character into the card because my artwork was larger than the frame provided. I thought that next time, I should try drawing within the border PNG that was given to fit my character design. I should also consider asking my artist friends how they worked on their collection set.
TIMELAPSE DRAWING
I miss creating timelapse drawings, so you might see more of them from me. I've been feeling motivated to work on my digital artwork again, possibly because taking a break helped refresh my mind. It feels great to return to it!
while working on this artwork, i thought that It's been six months since I started drawing digital art, and I wonder if there will be a noticeable difference when I compare my first attempt to this recent outcome. Let's see how it looks after a year!
Simple and eye-catching, it is an incredible mix. I liked the gradient you did with the colors; it was very original.
thank you so much !!! 😍
Great job, you have been very beautiful drawing, this character has some very striking colors, and the effect of the eyes was very surprising.
thank you so much !! ❤️
