Hello everyone! I’m Lorentm, a digital artist who loves giving emotions a visual form through lines, tones, and atmosphere. Today I’m thrilled to share with you a new digital artwork inspired by one of the characters from @holozing. It’s always a wonderful experience to create for this amazing community that fills each day with inspiration and creativity.
This piece is part of my participation in this year’s Zingtober, the artistic challenge organized by @holozing. Today marks the tenth day, and the prompt word is “Sweep.” For this illustration, I decided to portray once again one of my favorite characters: the Female Ocean Healer.
As I worked on her, I wanted to capture her gentle and reflective side. I imagined her taking a quiet moment for herself, away from the ocean, surrounded by the soft calm of a humble room. The concept is also inspired by the timeless charm of Snow White—her simplicity, kindness, and quiet strength.
Last night I couldn’t post this drawing because I had a very busy day and arrived home quite late, so I decided to rest and share it today. I’m excited to finally present it to you. Thank you so much to @acidyo and @holozing for their continuous support of my artworks and for always motivating me to keep creating.

Hoy estoy muy emocionada de compartir con ustedes una nueva obra digital inspirada en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Siempre es una experiencia maravillosa crear para esta comunidad tan inspiradora y llena de creatividad.
Esta pieza forma parte de mi participación en el Zingtober de este año, el reto artístico organizado por @holozing. Hoy corresponde al décimo día, y la palabra clave es “Sweep” (barrer). Para esta ilustración, decidí representar nuevamente a uno de mis personajes favoritos: la Female Ocean Healer.
Mientras trabajaba en ella, quise reflejar su lado más sereno y reflexivo. La imaginé tomándose un momento tranquilo para sí misma, lejos del océano, rodeada por la calma suave de una habitación sencilla. El concepto también está inspirado en la belleza atemporal de Blancanieves: su sencillez, bondad y fuerza silenciosa.
Anoche no pude publicar este dibujo porque tuve un día muy movido y llegué bastante tarde a casa, así que decidí descansar y compartirlo hoy. Estoy muy feliz de poder finalmente presentárselos. Muchas gracias a @acidyo y @holozing por su apoyo constante a mis obras y por motivarme siempre a seguir creando.
The scene depicts the Female Ocean Healer standing quietly in a rustic room, holding a broom. The expression on her face is gentle, perhaps a little melancholic, as if she’s lost in thought. The monochromatic palette brings a nostalgic and peaceful tone to the piece, allowing the focus to rest on her emotion and the soft play of light and shadow.
Her attire has a fairy-tale elegance: a layered dress with puffed sleeves, a tied apron, and a large bow on her head. The crescent moon symbol on her chest hints at her mystical connection with the ocean. Her short, neatly styled hair frames her face tenderly, adding a youthful innocence to her look.
The environment is simple but expressive. Through the window, light filters softly into the room, illuminating the healer and creating gentle contrasts that guide the eye through the scene. On the table, a single jug adds a touch of everyday realism. It’s a quiet moment—a brief pause between the magic of her world and the simplicity of ordinary life.
La escena muestra a la Female Ocean Healer de pie, en silencio, dentro de una habitación rústica mientras sostiene una escoba. Su expresión es suave, quizá un poco melancólica, como si estuviera perdida en sus pensamientos. La paleta monocromática le da al dibujo un tono nostálgico y sereno, permitiendo que la atención se centre en su emoción y en el delicado juego de luces y sombras.
Su atuendo tiene una elegancia de cuento de hadas: un vestido de capas con mangas abombadas, un delantal anudado y un gran lazo en la cabeza. El símbolo de la luna creciente en su pecho insinúa su conexión mística con el océano. Su cabello corto y bien cuidado enmarca su rostro con ternura, aportando un aire de inocencia juvenil.
El entorno es sencillo pero expresivo. A través de la ventana, la luz se filtra suavemente hacia la habitación, iluminando a la sanadora y creando contrastes delicados que guían la mirada por la escena. Sobre la mesa, una simple jarra añade un toque de realismo cotidiano. Es un momento tranquilo: una breve pausa entre la magia de su mundo y la simplicidad de la vida diaria.
Process / Proceso
I started with a sketch, defining the pose and the flow of the composition. My goal was to express a quiet, introspective emotion, so I kept her stance relaxed and natural. This first step was about capturing the essence of the mood rather than focusing on details.
Comencé con un boceto en el que definí la pose y el flujo de la composición. Mi objetivo era expresar una emoción tranquila e introspectiva, por eso mantuve su postura relajada y natural. Esta primera etapa fue más sobre capturar la esencia del momento que sobre los detalles.
After that, I moved to the line art, cleaning up the sketch and giving structure to the character and the environment. The clean lines help maintain clarity while keeping a soft feeling that fits the monochrome aesthetic.
Luego pasé al delineado, limpiando el boceto y dando estructura tanto al personaje como al entorno. Las líneas limpias ayudan a mantener la claridad y, al mismo tiempo, conservan una sensación suave que armoniza con la estética monocromática.
When it came to the “coloring” phase, instead of traditional colors, I worked entirely in grayscale. I carefully balanced the different tones to build contrast and depth, from the soft mid-grays to the darker shadows. This limited palette helped emphasize the emotional tone of the scene.
En la fase de “coloreado”, en lugar de usar colores tradicionales, trabajé completamente en escala de grises. Equilibré cuidadosamente los distintos tonos para crear contraste y profundidad, desde los grises medios más suaves hasta las sombras más oscuras. Esta paleta limitada ayudó a resaltar el tono emocional de la escena.
Next, I developed the shadows, using them to guide the viewer’s eye and create atmosphere. The light from the window became the key element, shaping the composition and giving the piece its calm, reflective mood.
A continuación, trabajé las sombras, utilizándolas para guiar la mirada del espectador y crear atmósfera. La luz proveniente de la ventana se convirtió en el elemento principal, dando forma a la composición y aportando ese aire tranquilo y reflexivo.
The highlights were added with great care, giving subtle life to her eyes, her hair, and the folds of her dress. Even in grayscale, small touches of brightness can transform the feeling of the entire artwork.
Añadí los brillos con mucho cuidado, dando un toque de vida a sus ojos, a su cabello y a los pliegues de su vestido. Incluso en escala de grises, los pequeños destellos de luz pueden transformar por completo la sensación general de la obra.
Finally, I completed the background. I softened the textures of the brick walls and wooden floor, making sure they complemented the character rather than distracting from her. The result is a calm, storybook-like scene that feels timeless.
Finalmente, completé el fondo. Suavicé las texturas de las paredes de ladrillo y del piso de madera, procurando que complementaran al personaje sin restarle protagonismo. El resultado es una escena tranquila, con un aire de cuento, que se siente atemporal.

Creating this monochromatic artwork was a refreshing challenge. Working without color pushed me to focus on light, balance, and atmosphere. It reminded me that even in shades of gray, there’s endless emotion and beauty to explore.
Crear esta obra monocromática fue un desafío refrescante. Trabajar sin color me llevó a concentrarme más en la luz, el equilibrio y la atmósfera. Me recordó que incluso en los tonos grises hay una infinidad de emociones y belleza por descubrir.
I’m really happy with how this piece turned out and how it captures the quiet essence of the Female Ocean Healer. Thank you once again to @acidyo and @holozing for their ongoing support and for inspiring us artists to continue growing and sharing our worlds.
