Hello everyone! I’m Lorentm, a digital artist, and I’m thrilled to share my newest artwork with the amazing @holozing community. This piece is part of Zingtober, Holozing’s version of Inktober, where each day we create monochromatic art inspired by a keyword. For today’s prompt, “Drink,” I decided to bring back one of my favorite characters — the Female Forest Healer.
This time, I reimagined her far from her mystical forest, turning her into a passionate Holozing fan in a sports stadium. She’s cheerful, vibrant, and full of energy, cheering for her favorite team while enjoying a refreshing drink. It was fun to see her in such a modern and lively setting, so different from her usual serene and magical atmosphere.
Creating this piece was such a joy. Even though it’s monochrome, working with values and contrast gave it a lot of depth and personality. I wanted every shade of gray to tell a part of the story — from the sparkle in her eyes to the soft glow of the lights around her.
I also want to sincerely thank @acidyo and @holozing for their continuous support and encouragement to artists like me. Their dedication to the creative community truly inspires me to keep improving and sharing my art.
¡Hola a todos! Soy Lorentm, una artista digital, y estoy muy emocionada de compartir mi nueva ilustración con la increíble comunidad de @holozing. Esta obra forma parte del Zingtober, la versión de Inktober de Holozing, donde cada día creamos arte monocromático inspirado en una palabra clave. Para la palabra del día, “Drink”, decidí volver a dibujar a uno de mis personajes favoritos: la Female Forest Healer.
En esta ocasión, la imaginé lejos de su bosque místico, convertida en una fanática apasionada de los juegos de Holozing dentro de un estadio deportivo. Está alegre, llena de energía y entusiasmo, animando a su equipo favorito mientras disfruta de su bebida. Fue divertido verla en un entorno tan moderno y animado, muy diferente al ambiente sereno y mágico en el que normalmente la vemos.
Crear esta obra fue una experiencia maravillosa. Aunque el dibujo es monocromático, trabajar con luces, sombras y contrastes me permitió darle profundidad y mucha personalidad. Quise que cada tono de gris contara una parte de la historia: desde el brillo de sus ojos hasta el resplandor suave de las luces que la rodean.
También quiero agradecer de todo corazón a @acidyo y @holozing por su apoyo constante y por motivar a artistas como yo. Su dedicación a la comunidad creativa me inspira a seguir creciendo y compartiendo mis obras.
In this illustration, the Female Forest Healer appears as a cheerful Holozing super fan. She’s sitting in the stands, dressed in a T-shirt featuring her iconic clover symbol — a nod to her forest roots. On her head, she wears a playful drink helmet with two cans attached, perfectly fitting the day’s theme “Drink.” Her expression is full of joy and excitement, capturing the essence of a true supporter.
Her dynamic pose brings life to the composition. With one hand she waves a giant foam finger that proudly says “#1,” and her other hand is clenched in excitement as she cheers. The background, with its blurred stadium seats and the large banner reading “SUPER HOLO,” adds to the sense of a big event atmosphere.
The choice to keep the illustration monochromatic allowed me to focus on texture, shading, and light balance. Each area of gray was carefully used to convey form, depth, and emotion, highlighting her enthusiasm even without the use of color.

Está sentada en las gradas, vistiendo una camiseta con su emblemático trébol, un guiño a sus raíces del bosque. En la cabeza lleva un divertido casco con bebidas a los lados, ideal para el tema del día “Drink”. Su expresión está llena de alegría y emoción, capturando la esencia de una verdadera seguidora.
Su pose dinámica da vida a toda la composición. Con una mano levanta un gran guante de espuma que dice “#1”, mientras que con la otra muestra el entusiasmo de quien anima con todo el corazón. El fondo, con los asientos del estadio y el cartel de “SUPER HOLO”, refuerza la sensación de estar en un gran evento deportivo.
La elección de mantener la ilustración en tonos monocromáticos me permitió concentrarme en la textura, las sombras y el equilibrio de luces. Cada matiz de gris fue cuidadosamente trabajado para transmitir forma, profundidad y emoción, resaltando su entusiasmo incluso sin usar color.
Process / Proceso
The process began with a rough sketch to capture her lively posture and radiant energy. I wanted to make sure her pose felt natural and expressive, showing her excitement as she cheers for her team.
Once the sketch felt right, I moved on to the lineart. I focused on defining each detail — from the curves of her hair to the foam finger and the drink helmet. The clean, confident lines helped create a strong anime-inspired style that enhances her playful spirit.
For the rendering, instead of color, I worked entirely in grayscale. This allowed me to play with light and shadow to build contrast and atmosphere. The middle tones created softness, while the darker shades defined the depth of the folds in her clothing and the texture of her hair.
Next, I carefully added shadows to emphasize the direction of the light, creating a sense of volume and movement. The subtle variations between light and dark helped shape her face and make her expression stand out.
After that, I incorporated highlights — small touches of brightness on her hair, eyes, and accessories — to give the piece a lively spark. These glimmers made her feel even more animated and joyful, as if she were caught mid-cheer under the stadium lights.
Finally, I worked on the background. The blurred seats, soft gradients, and bold lettering helped frame the scene without taking attention away from the main character. The balance of contrast unified everything, making the piece feel dynamic and full of energy.
El proceso comenzó con un boceto suelto para capturar su postura animada y su energía radiante. Quise asegurarme de que su pose se sintiera natural y expresiva, mostrando su emoción al animar a su equipo.
Una vez que estuve satisfecha con el boceto, pasé al delineado. Me concentré en definir cada detalle, desde los mechones de su cabello hasta el guante de espuma y el casco con bebidas. Las líneas limpias y firmes ayudaron a reforzar el estilo inspirado en el anime y a resaltar su espíritu alegre.
En lugar de trabajar con color, realicé toda la obra en escala de grises. Esto me permitió jugar con la luz y la sombra para construir el contraste y la atmósfera. Los tonos medios aportaron suavidad, mientras que los tonos oscuros definieron la profundidad de los pliegues de la ropa y la textura del cabello.
Luego añadí las sombras, destacando la dirección de la luz y generando sensación de volumen y movimiento. Las variaciones sutiles entre luces y oscuridad ayudaron a dar forma a su rostro y a resaltar su expresión.
Después incorporé los brillos —pequeños toques de luz en el cabello, los ojos y los accesorios— que le dieron un toque de vida a la ilustración. Esos destellos lograron que pareciera aún más animada y alegre, como si estuviera capturada justo en medio de un grito de ánimo bajo las luces del estadio.
Finalmente trabajé el fondo. Los asientos desenfocados, los degradados suaves y las letras grandes ayudaron a enmarcar la escena sin quitarle protagonismo al personaje. El equilibrio de contrastes unificó toda la obra, logrando una sensación dinámica y llena de energía.

This Zingtober piece was a refreshing challenge — expressing colorless vibrancy through light and shadow. The Female Forest Healer, turned into a devoted Holozing fan, reminded me how fun it is to reinterpret characters in new contexts.
